Have Gun Will Travel was an adult western in terms of not being quite so much of a "shoot 'em up" western as many of the so called "juvenile" westerns. This was one of a very few radio shows that debuted on television and then went to radio. John Dehner was radio's Paladin and Richard Boone was tv's Paladin. Though they had the same character name, the two actors played the roles very differently from each other. In fact that was a contract request of Dehner before he accepted the radio role. He did not want to be a blueprint of Richard Boon's TV Paladin. Virginia Gregg plays a supporting role in this episode entitled "Bad Bart". The track includes a 4 min 40 sec intro with the history of the series and Dehner's role in it.... followed by the rebroadcast of the show from Jan. 31, 1960.
