The Stan Freberg Show was a weekly radio comedy show that was heard on CBS Radio for just 15 episodes in 1957-58. Starring Stan Freberg, Daws Butler, June Foray, and Peter Leeds. Bill May handled the musical direction.

The show, despite its short run, developed some running gags and stock jokes, but by the 13th episode CBS realized that advertisers were not interested in sponsoring the shows. Freberg was not too kind to Madison Avenue and often did skits that put them down, at least in their eyes.

CBS cancelled the series after the 15th episode. It was the last American network radio show to devote itself entirely to comedy. First show was on July 14, 1957 and the last show ran on Oct. 20, 1957. This track is the 9th show of the series… Abominable Snowman Revisited and it ran on September 8, 1957.

A story about two down-on-their-luck men who pool their resources with an old prospector to search for gold in Mexico.

Humphrey Bogart reprises his role as Fred C. Dobbs and Walter Huston reprises his role as the old prospector, Howard.

The film version won 3 Oscars in 1949. Walter Huston for best Supporting Actor and his son, John Huston for Best Director and Screenwriter for this movie.
