So! We recorded this in July and decided it was waaay too dark to be released any time of year, other than Halloween. So, here we go! Aaron and Marcus talk about the Organ Harvesters of China and the Body-Part Con of Arizona.
This week, Marcus and Aaron are talking about a brilliant Canadian who was called the Flying Bandit, and a dude who had straight-up Donkey Brain, and was otherwise known as The Mardi Gras Bomber. And we covered a little Heist News!
Marcus and Aaron dive deep into the life of Rory Shayne; a rockstar bank robber from the 70's who sported red leather jumpsuits and chromed out guns, and the Brazil Goiania Accident; a radioactive contamination accident that affected over 100,000 people, and it all started with just one little heist.
Also, we don't know how to count and regularly refer to this episode as Episode 36, although it is clearly Episode 37.
Welcome to Heist Club, and enjoy!
Marcus trudges through the backlog of Heist News, and Aaron covers the kidnapping of Robert "Bobby" Cosgrove Greenlease Jr.
We did it! We recorded an episode with a live audience! We had an amazing opening act, we gave some merch away, we read some listener submissions and we had people join us on stage! Anyway, it was rad, I wish you had been there.
The exciting conclusion to the largest con of our time: The Fyre Festival. Aaron and Marcus talk about the fallout, the lawsuits, and other stuff that happened after the infamous cheese sandwich.
We're back!
And we are talking about the Fyre Festival! For those of you who haven't heard of it, the Fyre Festival may have been the biggest con of our time. So buckle up!
IT'S A HALLOWEEN EPISODE! This week Marcus and Aaron talk about the Curse of the Pharaohs and the Hex of the Hope Diamond. And I just realized that it's Episode 31, which is being released on the 31st. I mean we meant to release a Halloween episode on Halloween, I just didn't realize it would be our 31st Episode. Spooky. Must be cursed.
Aaron talks about Dick... Turpin. His exploits in the 1730's as a brave, heroic highwayman that stole from the rich and gave to the poor are legendary across all of England... But was he really the dashing romantic he's made out to be? Marcus covers the staggering crime career of Yip Kai Foon, who led a gang on a violent crime spree in Hong Kong through the 1980's and 90's. With nicknames like "Teeth Dog" and "Goose Neck", you know this story is going to be wild.
This week, Aaron and Marcus cover the ridiculous story of DB Cooper! It would have been a two-hour episode, so we gave it to you in parts to keep your head from exploding due to awesomeness-overload (it's a serious medical condition).
