  • Spring Cleaning Your Friendships
Spring is a time to take a fresh look at your closet and determine if your clothes align with your current path. It's also a good time to take inventory of your friendships to determine if these relationships are in alignment with the current version of you. Often we hold on to friendships out of loyalty even when we know this person doesn't care or want the best for us. But this isn't the playground where if you don't like someone, it's time to cut them out of your life. Like in spring cleaning your wardrobe, there are steps to take when spring cleaning your friendships.

  • At the Intersection of Being Black + a Woman
At the insertion of being Black and a woman, most likely lies a mentally and physically exhausted human. One that juggles many personas and has gone through some things to survive life at this intersection. A being intimately familiar with racism, sexism, and hella microaggressions as it's become part of one's day-to-day life. A human that has been disrespected, invalidated at work, and negatively stereotyped, all while attempting to be strong and lift others. But there is so much more to this collective journey.

As we close out Black History Month and usher in Women's History Month, today’s conversation is for those living at this intersection and to educate others on life as a Black woman in America.

  • Let Them Have It! (Stress Reduction Tip)
One of the best advice I received to keep your stress levels down was to 'Let Them Have It." I heard this from Candice Denise on Instagram, who is a pure genius for this simple but effective technique. Warning - it's not what you think, as it doesn't mean going off on people.

This advice was so good I needed to share it with you, as I'm no longer constantly activating my sympathetic nervous system. That's the one that causes you to go into flight or flight mode and increase your stress level. Instead, these days I find myself in fewer arguments and feeling overall calmer than I have at any other time in my life. And for this, I'm grateful to now incorporate the idea of letting people have it daily.

  • Self-Care Travel Destinations
Making your vacations a self-care or wellness experience is a major trend in the travel industry. It makes sense if you think about it. Being away from the noise of daily life is a perfect time to pause for some self-love and dive further into your healing journey. But there's a difference between the best destinations for solo travel and the best destinations for self-care travel. Or as I like to call them, "finding me" travel experiences. Without recognizing I was doing it, I've become a quasi-expert in planning and experiencing these types of trips and will share some of my favorite self-care travel destinations.
