This week, Lau and Rich talk to…Rich. It had to happen eventually. The two talk about Rich and his wife’s time living in New Zealand, the move back to the U.S., the start of Deep Cut, and how Rich came to meet Jess + Adam to be (willfully) sucked into the Hello Adorn family. That plus jewelry that he, but mainly Cass, is feeling right now, the latest in HQ news, and more.
Laughs are had, employment laws are broken, historical inaccuracies are likely, just a standard Jewelry & Stuff kind of chat..

This time, Lau + Rich get into it with none other than Savannah. Savannah could not be a more to Hello Adorn. Why? Because she handles all things customer care. From helping people track down their orders to making sure they find what they are looking for to bursting into happy tears when a customer shares a touching story, it is how Sav spends her days. But she’s so much more than that. The three get into Sav’s origin story, how she came to the Hello Adorn family, wild HA customer care stories, bad vacations, sandwiches, and more. Plus, the fan favorite Name That Piece (vague reviews are read, guesses are made about which jewelry piece they are referring to). The ep overflows with kindness and laughs and is NOT to be missed, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Today is a special one. Lau and Rich talk to OG Hello Adorner: Jen. Jen is the original Hello Adorn “team”. She was the first one to hop on board with Jess right near the beginning. She has helped make, helped run shops, helped with...well basically everything. Before Adam and before it was even called Hello Adorn. The group talk about those early days and the journey between the little retail boutique downtown to Jess’s kitchen table to now. It is a wild ride. Plus, Jen is just a truly inspirational person, mother, partner, and friend, so they get into life, love, what it takes to be happy, and plenty more. And, of course, the crew play Name That Piece, our favorite mini gameshow where vague reviews are read and the players have to guess which Hello Adorn jewelry piece they are referring to. Laughs, awwww's, more laughs, and some great take-aways from this episode.

The interview-er becomes the interview-ee in this installment. Rich turns the tables on Lau and finally gets the origin story behind the General Manager and general orb of glowing positive light that is Lau. Lau talks about her midwestern upbringing, her time at a snarky Men’s mag in NYC, how she came to know about Hello Adorn, and how a few shifts at the retail store turned into taking on the big chair. Plus, a debate about whether the cashew is or is not king of the nuts. And of course, a round of Name That Piece where Lau has to name the product based on a customer’s (usually vague) description. It’s illuminating and plenty of fun.

This week, Lau + Rich are joined by none other than Adam Gardner aka the husband in “husband + wife owned”. Mr. Good Vibes himself shares his wild backstory of rags to many policies in the insurance world and how he left it all behind to make jewelry at Jess and his kitchen table. Plus he gets into “being sideways” (aka riding wake surfboards, snowboards, and other rideable boards). And of course, he plays everyone’s favorite game Name That Piece (review is read, what piece are they talking about?). Chalk full of interesting tales, laughs as always, and inspiration.

Getting To Know Adam + Jess: https://www.helloadorn.com/blogs/news/blog-post
Lau + Rich are back and they aren’t done talking about moms. In part II, they do the unthinkable: They interview their own moms on a podcast. And what is revealed is just as embarrassing as you might expect (for Rich anyway). PLUS, the team talks to none other than Bella and Adalyn. As in Jess’s daughters, Bella and Adalyn. Bombshells are dropped, knowledge is tested, laughs are had. To finish, Jess herself, the mama of Hello Adorn mamas, returns to the pod. She reveals how well Bella and Adalyn know her and shares all about her experience of being a mom from the early days up to having a tennager and a college freshman. This one is jammed with laughs and “awwwws” as the team wishes all the mamas, plant, pet, honorary, and human, a happy Mother’s Day.

Mother’s Day is-a-coming. And since Hello Adorn is jam packed with mamas, from plant mamas to pet mamas to human mamas, Lau and Rich had to put together something extra special. The result? Their most ambitious pod to date: A two-parter all about moms and motherhood with a slew of incredible guests. In this first installment, Lau and Rich celebrate all the HA moms, get into best mom characters in movies, TV and literature, and then go deep with HA team members that embody Hello Adorn’s mama personas. We hear from New Mama, Savannah, Grand Mama, Marla, Minimalist Mama, Liss, and Bold Mama, Juliann. And get ready to take some notes, because these segments overflow with motherly wisdom (and hilarious kid stories). The ep caps off with Hello Adorn customer submitted “momination’ voicemails for a heart warming finish. We’re not crying, you’re crying.

Lau and Rich return to talk all things women. This episode was recorded the week of International Women’s Day during March aka Women’s History Month. And especially since Hello Adorn is stacked with fantastic, extraordinary, inspirational women, they just had to get into it. Lau shares interesting stats, personal stories and observations, tactics to navigate a note yet equal world, and more about the female experience. That plus they share lots of great recs, from other great female-owned brands and businesses to music artists. Rich attempts to learn and falls flat on his face a few times along the way. It is what learning in public looks like. But make no mistake, it is loaded with laughs, quizzes, and nonsense.

This week, Lau and Rich talk to the myth, the legend, Kimmie Geer. What does Kimmie do for Hello Adorn? How long you got? From graphic design (Kimmie is behind the Hello Adorn logo, for example) to ads to photography to strategy to packaging to, basically name it, she’s involved. Lau and Rich talk to Kimmie about her Hello Adorn meet-cute, her mind-meld with Jess, what she’s vibing with, and more. The best part of that “more” is getting into Kimmie’s brand/business: Ski Like A Girl, which recently got a very exciting celebrity shoutout. Kimmie is also asked to defend a *controversial* opinion (that Lau and Rich still can’t believe). Finally, a round of Name That Piece where Kimmie has to identify jewelry pieces simply by hearing a vague review. In summary, Kimmie is fascinating and Lau and Rich can’t hear enough about her cool life. They learn, they laugh, they cry. Okay, no one cries, but the other two definitely happen.

Lau and Rich are back. And this time, it is with the one, the only: Jess Gardner. Jess Gardner as in Hello Adorn founder + owner. As in jewelry maker/designer, style icon, plant mother, traveler, queen of generosity, mother, wife, and so much more, Jess. That Jess. The crew gets into what Jess is vibing with, some newly acquired jewelry-making skills, new designs, and more studio BTS. Plus Jess plays the soon-to-be classic game: “Defend or Tell” which leads to a story involving an explosives specialist (friend or foe? foe). Plus a spectacular round of “Name That Piece” and plenty more. Get to know the brains, the face, and the magic behind Hello Adorn.
