This week, I didn't have any subjects researched or prepared in advance. Luckily, there's been enough going on in daily lives that we still had room to discuss. Also, HFH has a new theme song, written and performed by the very talented Albert Bagman!

What can you look forward to us discussing this week? Well, what's up with the fireworks everywhere? What can we read for some feel-good mental junk-food right now? How are we all dealing with (what feels like) year 782 of CoronaVirus Quarantine? What is the upcoming  "show" I keep talking about?

Also, I laugh a lot in this episode. Maybe I'm losing my mind? Did I even have one? WHO KNOWS?

This week we have Alvin, AKA Onyx D. Pearl, on to discuss life in America as a black man, a gay man, and a drag queen. Among other things, we discuss racism within queer communities, police brutality, and the history of the black American.  Additionally, Alvin relates his own experiences growing up and gives a few examples of systemic racism and how it has affected him throughout his life. We also discuss frequent arguments against the BLM movement and how the movement is often misunderstood.

Considering the current climate, it didn't feel like a great time to do some fun and entertaining subject this week. In fact, I tried twice and both times flopped. Instead, whenever I can find someone who is willing to talk about their experience as a BIPOC living in the United States, I will have them on to discuss their lives. Bear in mind, every person who will be on the podcast has volunteered to do so and should in no way feel obligated to represent the community at large, but as the black community is going through a lot of severe oppression, it seems prudent to elevate their voices in any way we possibly can.

This week we are joined by Ian, a man currently living in the USA who happens to also be biracial. Ian didn't grow up in the United States, and so had a bit of a jarring culture shock when he came here as an adult and saw how he and his family members were treated by the communities around him. We discuss his history, his livelihood, and his current plans for the future.

He's a very interesting dude, and you can find him on Instagram @gikanter21. Though she isn't mentioned in the episode, he also has a super rad snake named Luna and she is featured heavily on his insta!

This week, we bring astrophysicist and all-around smart person Kayla in to discuss the possibilities of life in the universe and to watch those videos that the Pentagon confirmed were legit. Are we losing the moon? When will we be contacted by extraterrestrial life? Have aliens already visited our planet? Are there lizard people living underground and controlling our governments? Actually, that last one might need to be its own separate episode. 

Ever wanted to know what we look for when determining where else life could exist? Where the other possibilities for life are in our own solar system?  We cover all this, and more.
