  • The WallBuilders Show - Why Midterm Turnout Matters For Your Freedom

Staying home feels like a protest until you realize who benefits from your silence. We sit down as Rick Green, David Barton, and Tim Barton to talk through the midterm election with a biblical worldview, a clear-eyed political strategy, and a deep concern for the future of America’s constitutional republic. If you’ve ever thought, “Both parties are corrupt” or “My vote won’t matter,” we challenge that instinct and explain why disengagement doesn’t send the message you think it sends.

We wrestle with the reality that general elections are often a binary choice between imperfect candidates, and we argue that your vote isn’t a Valentine for someone you adore. It’s a chess move that helps decide what kind of culture gets promoted, what laws get prioritized, and whether destructive ideas gain ground. We dig into concrete stakes that rarely make headlines: judicial confirmations, cabinet and agency appointments, and how a shift in congressional power can stall reforms for years.

We also address frustration with stalled legislation and point out why a small number of lawmakers can block progress, and why the answer is better turnout, better primaries, and better training for future candidates. Finally, we connect civic engagement to biblical stewardship, using the parable of the talents as a sobering reminder that burying what we’ve been entrusted with has real consequences.

If this conversation sharpened your thinking, subscribe, share it with a friend, and leave a review so more people hear it. What’s one practical step you’ll take to help someone else vote?
