Episode 58: This week I am so honored to share my conversation with Sarah Weyrich. Sarah is a Viterbo Music Theatre alumni, now working in the professional theatre world at theaters all over the country. This past summer, Sarah lost her amazing brother, Sam the "I Can" man. When Sam was born, he was told he wouldn't live past two years old, but he proved everyone wrong and lived 24 fun and adventure-filled years with a supportive and loving family by his side. Sarah and her parents are honoring Sam's life by starting a foundation to help individuals with all abilities have adventures and experiences that they may not be able to afford otherwise. I hope that this conversation honors even a tiny piece of Sam's life, and inspires love and empathy in everyone that listens.

Episode 57: I mean, let's be real... You can't meet Melissa de Boer and not think she's the world's greatest human. It was truly a blessing to get to interview my favorite human being, my mama. We talk about growing up in a small town, loving all sorts of hands-on crafts and hobbies (including making VOTE bracelets that our entire city must have at this point), marrying my dad, being a mom, and so much more. Episode 56: This week the podcast is joined by one of my favorite people, Abby Michelle (not Lee) Miller! I had the pleasure of being Abby's roommate when we competed together at Miss Wisconsin, and it was friendship at first hug. In this episode Abby talks about her history with competing in the Miss America Opportunity, and the passion she's found while volunteering at the Rhode Center for the Arts. Abby also discusses her experiences with navigating the mental health system, and grappling with different diagnoses.

Episode 55: This week the podcast is welcoming my very own brother, Elliott de Boer. Elliott is the black cat to my golden retriever. The reality to my fantasy. The Vanderbilt to my Viterbo, if you will. In this episode Elliott talks about his move to France, why he chose to study French in college, and his hatred of Chat GPT. Having also studied Political Science at Vanderbilt, Elliott carries a lot of knowledge and opinion about our political current climate, some of which we dive into in this episode. Episode 54: Faith Fehlen, my friend, talented musician, heart of sunshine, follower of Jesus, and lifelong dreamer. I am so excited for you all to hear this conversation. We talk about our transformations during college, switching from dreams of musical theater to dreams of serving faith communities, and Faith's latest claim to fame ~ that she sang with the "house band" for thousands of youth at the ELCA youth conference in New Orleans just last month. This episode makes me so happy because it's just two friends catching up.

Episode 53: Earlier this summer I took a group of high schoolers to Denver, CO for a mission trip. One of the good humans leading the mission site in Denver was none other than Abby Schulte! Abby is going into her senior year at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, studying Public Administration, whose program motto is "Making Lasting Change." Abby is doing just that. Through her work with Youthworks -- Christian-based mission trips for middle and high schoolers -- and Delight Ministries on her college campus, Abby is committed to helping her communities in every way that she can. Her story is awesome, and so is she.

Episode 52: We're BACK with a sunshine of a human being, Delanie Johnson! Delanie is the Coordinator for PATCH La Crosse, Providers and Teens Communicating for Health. She is passionate about public health and equipping teenagers with the tools needed for health advocacy. In this episode we talk about the basic of public health, some highlights from traveling Europe (the chocolate croissants in Paris), she gives us all an audio-tattoo-tour, and her love for Harry Styles! Episode 51: Hello good humans! Or maybe "Hola humanos buenos!" is more fitting today... This week the pod is joined by Katie Marach, who lives her life with an incredible servant heart. Working as an ESL teacher in Wisconsin, Katie decided to completely uproot her life and do a year of service at an orphanage in Peru, and then in Mexico. This experience has transformed her understanding of the culture, the Spanish language, and her empathy and compassion for her students. Katie is also passionate about riding her motorcycle and helping people who are suffering from alcoholism and addiction.

Episode 50 (50!!!!): This week I am so thrilled to share the conversation that I had with the sunshine human herself, Georgia Vanderville. Georgia Vanderville is the owner and creative force behind Shortie's Candle Company, and a lover of all things fragrance. In this episode we talk about the origin of Georgia's work with candles, "fragrance flips," our favorite scents, and more! Episode 49: This week I am so honored to introduce Dr. Carolyn Colleen Bostrack to "hello good humans" ~ Carolyn is an accomplished speaker, author, entrepreneur, wife, mother, and woman of faith. In this episode we share our love for the La Crosse community, we discuss moments that Carolyn realized her dreams were becoming reality, and she shared her reaction to taking the ACE questionnaire for the first time. A graduate of Viterbo's Servant Leadership program, Carolyn does everything she can to pour back into the community in the best way that she knows how: by taking a breath, setting a goal, and being fiercely resilient.
