I'm not dead! I'm here for you, I'll never leave you like that again! We've all had a tough time these past several months, almost a whole damn year, and that doesn't account for my pre-existing conditions! Everyone has issues, and for some, there's been stretches of time where they were amplified during the quarantine. Siting at home in the stew of your own regret, guilt, anger, fear, and grief. I didn't think i was going to drop-off in the way that I did with this podcast, but in this week's check-in, I explain a bit why I did. Moving forward, this show is going to have seasons, like some other great podcasts I follow, in order to ensure quality is the main component of the show, and not quantity. Along with our weekly guests, I'm excited to introduce a new segment of ours that is completely separate from the regular show, our weekly check-ins! Just me, you, and a weight off our collective chests hopefully. I'll be taking and answering questions, talking about recent and current events, and, well, checking in with y'all. He might not like that I said that, but we've bonded multiple times over the years over the fact that we're sensitive boys, emotional guys, we wear our hearts on our sleeves and we're scared of love! Mike is such an interesting guy to talk to because after spending just 5-minutes with him (all of which you'll be laughing hysterically) you'd be remiss not to think theres million thoughts churning inside that head of his, each one more introspective than the last. 

These exact thoughts are what made this episode so damn long even though I've vowed so many times in the past to get these episodes tighter and shorter. We just kept talking!

This Weeks guest, Conner McNutt, is one of my best friends. This episode is truly just us hanging out: what else were we going to do? Ask each other questions about stuff we already know about each other? I absolutely tried, and failed. After an unexpected little hiatus, We're back!! And I explain all in the intro. This week we have Donna Guerreros on the show! Donna is a creative person who I truly respect and admire. Donna' is one of those women who knows how to get things done, whether it be putting on a show in a pandemic or starting her club, The Donas; all while maintaining her job as a nurse along with her other side hustles. 

Donna is our first "non-performer" guest in the show, and that doesn't prevent us from having a fun engaging conversation. You can tell i had fun based on how long the dang episode is! I kept having questions, Donna is a woman with experience and knowledge and that shows in how she talks and what she chooses to talk about. Some of these things involve how we control the weather depending on what shoes we wear, how we feel about the worth of our college degrees, and how life-altering events like Covid-19 and 9/11 inspire us as people to pursue different endeavors and force us to take stock of our lives and engage with who we are at our core.
