Paul Birkett is the founder and CEO of Automation Finance. He started in corporate America and now he and his team buys and fixes distressed mortgages.  They are the only ones using crowdfunding doing this, and they have been doing it since 2013. 

First he built a portfolio of 30 rental homes across the US before realizing that this was more work than a full time job. That's when the light bulb went off.
