The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles has launched an online pre-application for Virginians seeking an identification card.  Available on DMV’s newly redesigned website at dmv.virginia.gov, the application is part of DMV’s “start anywhere” services, which allow customers to begin certain applications from the comfort of their own home or on the go. The Office of Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares recently announced that Virginia, along with a coalition of 49 other attorneys general, has reached a million settlement with payment processor ACI Worldwide over a 2021 testing error. The error led to the attempted unauthorized withdrawal of .3 billion mortgage-holders’ accounts.    The erroneous test took place on April 23, 2021, as ACI was testing the Speedpay platform and mistakenly submitted live Mr. Cooper consumer data into the ACH system. Kroger Mid-Atlantic’s annual peanut butter drive generated nearly 0,000 in donated funds and peanut butter, according to the chain. The drive ran from Sept. 13 through Oct. 10 and encouraged shoppers to purchase peanut butter and then donate it in bins at the stores. Customers also were able to round up their overall purchase price to help fund the drive. The total of 1,789 in donated money and peanut butter represented a 29% increase from last year’s total. The majority of Virginians are not up-to-date with the latest COVID-19 vaccine due to vaccine fatigue, something that has medical experts concerned with a looming triple threat of respiratory viruses. Less than 20% of Virginians are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations, according to the Virginia Department of Health. Mondelēz International celebrated the 50th anniversary of its Richmond Biscuit Manufacturing Plant Oct. 14.  The plant on Laburnum Avenue in Eastern Henrico, produces such snack favorites as Oreo, Chips Ahoy! and Nilla Wafers cookies and Ritz and Wheat Thins crackers.  Family members of the plant's 650 employees braved rainy weather and mud puddles for the festivities on the grounds of the Laburnum Avenue site, where operations first began in 1973.  Seventeen employees were honored for having worked at the bakery 40 years or longer.  Senator Tim Kaine, Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, Delegate Delores McQuinn and Henrico County Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman Tyrone Nelson were among the dignitaries on...Article Link
