The Henrico County Office of Virginia Cooperative Extension will host a free program Thursday, June 22 to teach residents how to prepare trees for severe weather events. A CSX freight train hit a little boy at the railroad crossing at Dill Road and Vawter Avenue in Henrico County at about 8 p.m., Crime Insider sources told Jon Burkett. Those sources told Burkett the child appeared to be around three or four years old. The child was taken to the hospital where he was said to be in critical but stable condition. A young girl was injured after someone shot at a home in the Highland Springs area early Thursday morning. Henrico Police said they responded to the 500 block of S.
