On June 9, Junior Achievement of Central Virginia unveiled the new Meta Storefront at JA Finance Park, a new, interactive space designed to help local students with JA goals of personal financial planning and career exploration. The driver of a cement truck who was shot May 2 by Richmond Police after apparently backing into two Richmond Police vehicles following a pursuit that ended in Henrico County has been charged with attempted aggravated murder. Giovanni Giordano Roggiero II, 31, of Richmond, was driving the truck, which was being pursued in the city by Richmond Police at about 4:50 p.m. that day. Herbert Atwood Mihalcoe, 94, of Henrico, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a retired surveyor for Steven’s Land Surveyors. He attended Highland Springs High School, was a member of Hardy Central Baptist Church and loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors and baseball. He is survived by his sons, Timothy A.
