As someone in long-term recovery, Garrett uses his voice to reshape how Americans think of recovery by turning addiction into advocacy.

Living in sober housing led Garrett and his friend, Ryan Hampton, into advocacy efforts to address gaps and push for legislative solutions. Garrett is the co-founder of the Voices Project and organizing lead for the Recovery Advocacy Project.

Se-ah-dom Edmo, Shoshone-Bannock, Nez Perce & Yakama, is Executive Director of the MRG Foundation and Co-Chair of Oregon Recovers. Addiction is all to familiar with her, as her father has suffered from alcoholism the most of her life. Instead of hiding the disease, Se-ah-dom's mother openly talked about their father's disease and educated the children about what the disease of addiction looks like and does.

Meth took everything from Michelle. As she says, "I was the poster child of Meth." During her sentencing, the judge said you can go to treatment in county jail for 6 months or go to jail for 10 years. Michelle took the 6 months, got sober, went to college, and is now working at GOBHI (Greater Oregon Behavior Health Inc.) to help others who are suffering from addiction. Michelle is now working on getting her PhD in addiction.
