Her Dark Ministrations

On their quest to retrieve (or steal) secrets pertaining to their visions from the aelfir University of Divine Magic, our Ministers both caught and later released a Masked servant, Jhacari Allard. Jhacari returned to Amaranth, hoping to put the entire murderous business behind him, but with his aelfir mistress intent on attending the same party as our Ministers, will it be possible for him to maintain his lies?

Last time, Arséne and their new friend Marlena Fissure-Unfurling-in-Porcelain went to visit again with Viola Godsdown, the mask forger up in Ivory Row. While alone with their prisoner, Ludevic had had a heart to heart with Jhacari Allard, and ended up releasing him into the Garden District. Now the time has come for our Ministers to infiltrate the Infinite Library itself, but will they be able to pull it off now that the Masked is back in play?

With Orlando Thunder-Rolling-in-Summer-Fields dead in their basement, our Ministers must now figure out the next steps in their plan. Complicating all of their machinations is the witness Jhacari Allard; despite his revelations in the catastrophe altar last episode, can the cell really trust him? And if they do, what will they ask of a drow who is in no way (yet) a Minister of Our Hidden Mistress?

Have our Ministers bitten off more than they can chew? Last time, they succeeded in infiltrating the house of aelfir lord Orlando Thunder-Rolling-in-Summer-Fields, drugged the aelfir into unconsciousness, and put him in a body bag with the frozen corpse of his last valet. Unfortunately, there was a witness: a Masked servant named Jhacari Allard. At the last moment, our Ministers decided to bring Jhacari with them...but what will be the innocent drow’s final fate?

After acquiring their disguises as Morticians and bureaucrats of the Eye, our Ministers had a brief sojourn into the glitter of the Silver Quarter, did some ill-advised gambling, and shed Arsene’s enthusiastic lover to get to their real mission: kidnapping and murdering an aelfir Lord. Unbeknownst to them, another aelfir, Lady Iliriana Embers-Ascending, is headed to the house of Orlando Thunder-Rolling-in-Summer-Fields at the very same time. What could possibly go wrong?

With Joseph dead and Zyrel leaving to follow her own Quest, the remaining members of our cell must continue forward on their own. After their consultation with the Oracles of Our Hidden Mistress, our Ministers have decided to infiltrate the University of Divine Magic, in Amaranth. With the help of an old friend of Arsene’s, they plan to acquire disguises and kidnap an unpleasant aelfir for a bit of light ritual sacrifice. But there are many more obstacles to pass before our Ministers reach their goal...

Joseph Moses Hearst is missing. Zyrel is in the middle of tense political negotiations. Arséne and Simone are currently floating down the river Alph in a couple of barrels. Having acquired the corpsefruit liquor that Beatrix requested, what is left of the cell must now make their way back to the Golden Cock for the long awaited revelations promised to them by Simone’s old friend.

Having acquired the corpse fruit liquor they were sent for, our Ministers must now improvise an escape plan. With the Duke and Duchess now aware of their presence (and confronting Joseph on the party deck), will Arséne decide to explode something?

With (most) of their plan in place to infiltrate the Castle, our Ministers have a straightforward task: find the bottle of corpsefruit liquor, retrieve the contents without being caught, and make it back to the Golden Cock for a night of sweet dreams and sweeter secrets. But in order to do that, they must first attend a party...
