Her Dark Ministrations

Last time, our Ministers and their precocious priestess Mimette Voleaux met again with the blood witch Beatrix Falen. There they negotiated for the secrets that Beatrix claims will change the Spire itself—but what of the price? Beatrix claims that the only way to convey her information is through the drugged dreams of corpsefruit liquor, a drow delicacy currently in stock on the formidable river boat Castle, owned and operated by the Duke of the North Docks.

Now our Ministers must find a way on board the Castle, steal the expensive liquor, and escape without throwing the politics of the Docks into too much chaos. Let’s see if they can plan their way out of this one...

With their preparations completed, our Ministers have only a few hours left before they will take Mimette to meet with the Blood Witch Beatrix Falen. But first, there are a few more details left to decide...

The cell’s first conversation with the blood witch Beatrix was completed with only a few drops of blood (and sap, in Arséne’s case) being spilled. Zyrel’s ongoing grievance with Simone only grew, and Joseph is left playing peacekeeper between them. With eleven hours left before they bring Mimette to a meeting they are certain is a trap, there are certain preparations to complete...

Once in a blue moon, we have a chance to see into other, darker universes. This is an alternate history that was recorded just after episode 12. What if, after their adventures in Perch and the North Docks, our Ministers made different and terrible choices?

Having met Mimette in the skull-restaurant of Wrexwell’s, our Ministers set off to find out the truth about a blood witch practicing her dark arts on behalf of a pub called the Golden Cock. Simone and Arséne charmed their way into a meeting with the witch, only for Simone to claim at the last moment that she had an old friendship with Beatrix. But will the witch agree?

Machinations kick in around our Ministers once again. After their separate adventures throughout the Spire, they have reconvened and made it down to the Docks, where their next mission assignment comes not from their Magister, but from an old friend.

Previously, our Ministers split up to lessen the heat from their hunters in the Solar Paladins and City Guard. Arséne and Zyrel are raising hell in the North Docks, trying to blame the crackdown on a Knight of the Stuffed Quiver. Meanwhile, Joseph and Eclipse linger in their safehouse in the Garden District, plotting a way for Eclipse to return–if not to her old life, at least to something more secure than her present state.
