I'm so excited to be chatting with comedic actress, Mhairi Morrison. Mhairi, who incidentally, is Scottish/American, has worked extensively in mime, puppeteering, dance, clown, mask work, and has recently trained in performance capture. Talk about well rounded!
Mhairi has been in the U.S. for several years now, but prior to coming to L.A., she trained and worked in the U.K. and in France. We talked a bit about the differences in training and working there vs. training and working here in the states. As an American actor, the differences blew me away and really made me start to fantasize about what a career in the arts would look like outside of the U.S.
During our talk, Mhairi opened up about how she fell out of love with acting a few years ago. I know that a lot of you listening will be able to relate to her story. But don't worry, it has a happy ending! She shares how she fell back in love, and took charge of her career. And, how doing stand-up, and creating her own web series helped her reignite that passion.
So much good stuff!

This week's micro podcast runs a little over ten minutes and features actress and writer, Catrina Del Re. I ask Catrina twelve questions that pertain to artists of all disciplines. Think of this as a short and sweet P.S. to Catrina's full length episode from last week.
Want more? Listen to Catrina in episode 27, and see photos and read fun facts that weren't mentioned on the podcast at http://www.herprocess.com.

In the opening episode of the second year (what? year two!) of Her Process, I'm chatting with actor and writer, Catrina Del Re.
From modeling to Method to Meisner, to finding her way to a class at The Imagined Life here in Los Angeles, Catrina shares with us this acting technique that is so different from any traditional technique that I've ever heard of! No rehearsal, no writing, and it's all about empathy. We talk about how, as we evolve as humans, and as technology is evolving, so too is the craft of acting.
On the writing side, Catrina is working on a biopic that centers around an actor/director/producer who perished in a concentration camp. Her subject was a controversial person who has all but been written out of history. Catrina is determined to tell his story. She visited the camp with her husband, and shares with us some rather other worldly things that happened while they were there.
I had so much fun chatting with Catrina, and I just know you're going to enjoy hearing what this talented, spiritual, beautiful person has to say about life and art. So, without further ado, here is Catrina Del Re.

This episode is a micro pod and runs just under ten minutes. Typically in my micro pods I ask my guests twelve questions that pertain to artists of all disciplines. A few of my guests have asked me how I'd answer some of these questions. So, I figure it's only fair for me to walk a mile in their shoes, or at least the shoes they wear when they come over to my house to chat with me! So, from the point of view of an actor who dabbles in writing and illustrating...and podcasting...I'm answering the twelve questions.
This is the last episode of 2016! The show will be back on January 5th with all new episodes. In the meantime, keep in touch with me on Instagram and Twitter @jobozarth! And find the show on Facebook at Facebook.com/HerProcess and Facebook.com/thejobozarth.
It's the Her Process Bonus Episode! Today I’m chatting with actor, writer, producer, and director, Kathryn Michelle. She’s back again this week to answer twelve questions that I ask of all my guests, regardless of what kind of art they practice. And since she is such a multifaceted artist, I’m betting a lot of us can identify with what she has to say. Want Kathryn’s backstory and to hear how this working mom gets it all done? Check her out on episode 24. And now, here’s my ten-ish minute chat with Kathryn Michelle.
This is a special edition of Her Process. We're talking NaNoWriMo! I asked my guest from episode seven, writer/director Sandra Payne, to come back on the show. Sandra has written for Wishbone, Barney and Friends, she's written short films, award winning web series and commercials. In episode seven she told us that participating in NaNoWriMo is how she completed her first novel. This process is something she's really passionate about. She's back on the show to share the ins and outs, and ways to approach this month of daily writing, along with hints and tips to keep you moving along. This episode is for all of you writers out there, and those thinking about writing!
I'm so happy to share this chat with my dear friend, Kathryn Michelle. I met Kathryn on a film set in upstate New York over a decade ago, and we've been friends ever since. This lady gets more done in a year than most people do in five!
She currently has four projects in the festival circuit, and she talks about the benefits and reasons why a filmmaker would go the festival route. We also talk about the many hats she wears, often at the same time, during her productions, and how the common theme of story carries across all mediums of art that she practices. Oh wait, did I forget to mention graphic design...because she does that, too! And yes, story plays a big part there as well.
Kathryn talks about the challenge of writing and why she started doing it in the first place, and I loved hearing about the inspiration behind the characters she creates, both as a writer and as an actress.
As you can imagine, with all that Kathryn does, we cover quite a lot of ground. You know, my conversation with Kathryn made me think...if you're someone with multiple interests, and talents, why limit yourself? Kathryn does it all, and she inspires me to dive in and do the same! So lets get to it! Here's my chat with my wonderfully awesome friend, Kathryn Michelle!

This week's micro podcast runs just over fourteen minutes and features singer, songwriter, pianist, Leila Milki. I ask Leila twelve questions that pertain to artists of all disciplines. We're talking topics that we've all experienced, or will experience.

In this episode, I'm chatting with singer, songwriter, pianist, Leila Milki. Leila began taking classical piano lessons at just four years of age. She pursued her studies under the practical and theoretical curriculum of the Royal Conservatory of Music. We talk a little bit about practical and theoretical study as they pertain to music, and why both are so valuable. Leila's had some of the most fascinating jobs doing what she loves... making music. If there are any musicians reading this who are looking for ways to make a living playing music, give this episode a listen! She's also working on completing her first album, and funded it by doing a month long Kickstarter campaign. Leila tells us about the preparation and execution of the campaign, what really got people motivated to contribute, and tells us which social media outlet helped her the most during the process.
Leila has a strong connection to her Lebanese heritage, and she talks about how that love informs her music. She performs in English, Arabic, French, and Spanish. And, at the end of the show, Leila sits down at the piano and treats us to a piece from her upcoming album, sung in two of the afore mentioned languages. Listen to find out which two!
So, let's get to it! Here's my chat with Leila Milki.
