HFTM Episode #19: 7/12/2021

Mike has a case of the sniffles, so it's just Nick and Steve today. Playoff packs have blessed us again, and rare packs are right around the corner. It's almost the end of Top Shot Series 2 and it's been a good ride. Suns fans have the opportunity to win a trip to the NBA Finals, we've been asking for Top Shot utility and here it is. Only one episode this week because we're down a man.

We're on a quest to find good NFT projects, because a lot of them to us are very lackluster shall we say. We pitch our idea again for Fat Steve Dinner Party, the best collection of randomized NFTs there ever was and will be. Steve has an idea for randomly generated coffee mugs called Money Mugz, and if that's not the next big thing I don't know what is. This podcast is not financial advice, invest in what you want, buy what you like and have fun collecting. As long as you're having fun, that's all that matters.

Happy Fourth of July to all who are celebrating. There was no Office Hours this week, but fortunately Top Shot provided us with an updates for June blog (https://blog.nbatopshot.com/posts/updates-for-june). We're talking about all the quality of life changes happening on the site, what's changed and what's coming next. We have only been on Top Shot for a little over five months and in that time we have seen so much growth, there's always something new to look forward to. It begs the question, where will Top Shot be in six months, a year, three years?

Well, probably not but we at Here For The Moments have big dreams. What is the future of NFTs, will they find mainstream adoption or will they live on the fringe of society? With proper implementation and planning, we believe that they can redefine how we experience mobile apps and video games. NFTs don't just have to be an art piece or digital amalgamation that lives on your phone or computer, they have the capacity to be so much more.

We're back from vacation and today we are joined by special guest Jeremy Williams. Jeremy has been a friend of the show for a long time and we are thrilled to have him on. If you couldn't tell by the title of this episode, today is International Mike Day and we are celebrating accordingly, in celebration of all Mike's everywhere. We weren't gone too long but while we were gone there was a little bit of drama in the Top Shot world and Jeremy has all the details on that. Steve hates to see it happen but this is now officially a Dunkin' podcast with a special shoutout to Tim Horton's. It's a fun time this week on Here For The Moments, it's a shame Nick couldn't be here to celebrate with us.

HFTM Episode 13: 5/26/2021

This is the last episode before Nick and Steve go on vacation, so there will not be any episode this Sunday or next Wednesday. The Early Adopters period has ended, and the age of Top Shot has begun. Every day we are closer to coming out of Beta. There is a question that lies beyond space and time, a question that may never be definitely answered. Which is better, Dunkin' or Starbucks?

There will be a week break for the podcast, vacation calls. We will still be active on Substack and Twitter in the meantime, Facebook page coming soon.
