Here & There Podcast Season 2 Episode 2, "Outsourced To India" is here! According to Wikipedia, ‪#‎outsourcing‬

involves the contracting out of a business process to another party and

it dates back to at least 1981. In 2016, Paul and Ruth "O" will be

outsourced from Canada to Kolkata, ‪#‎India‬

as new GWs under PAOC. They will be using their story of redemption and

hope to reach the addicted and hurting people of that city through the

Teen Challenge program, alongside Stewart and Monique Shaw. Listen in on some of our newest family members share their story with HnT!

The Here & There Podcast is back for Season 2! This season's

première episode took place on location (or, "over there") in Antalya,

Turkey at the Eurasia Regional Retreat. Sheldon

and Matt recorded this pod together in person for the first time ever, and

in front of a live studio audience! In this week's comeback episode we

discuss regional retreats, best and worst retreat moments, talk with

various Eurasians, and find out what Paul Lasanté really thinks of the HnT Podcast. It's good to be back!

A few weeks ago, one of my favourite Global Workers stopped in to stay a night in the Missionary Guest house en la Casa Janes. ScottandMelissa Williams

(just Scott) was back in Canada briefly to spend time with family after

a surprising death in the family. It was late, but fueled by cold nuts

and Coke Zero, Scott spoke freely about being back in the saddle after a

year on the Global Worker bench. It may have been the jet lag talking,

We wish we could have hired a helicopter to give you the traffick report but our budgets wouldn’t allow it (we’re no Murray Cornelius after all). Instead we get the traffick report from two special guests, Anna Armitage (the better half of the better half of this podcast) and our Christmas-episode guest, Ashley Salomons. Recently they attended the European Freedom Network’s Bridge Conference in Bucharest, Romania. They share their thoughts on what it means to be involved in one of the "hottest" and yet most misunderstood missional issues of today: human trafficking. What does it take to fight trafficking? Why can’t one heroic individual (a la Liam Nesson) or organization take care of the problem? What can others do to get involved? Why do we need to network in order to tackle this terrible problem?

While we know it won’t make your commute to work or church any shorter or more comfortable, we do hope this episode makes you realize that we can’t avoid the traffick. Instead we need to be involved in stopping the traffick and making sure those who are caught in it can find their way home.

Jesus said, "Mo money, mo problems." Actually, no he di'int...at least not exactly like that. Kinda sorta maybe he did. Money mattered to Jesus for sure. Did you know that there are about 800 Scriptures that deal with money in the Bible?

Jesus talked about money more than He did Heaven and Hell combined, and more than anything else except the Kingdom of God. 11 of 39 parables talk about money. 1 of every 7 verses in the Gospel of Luke talks about money.

So Sheldon Armitage and I decided to talk about it on the latest edition of the Here & There Podcast at great length.
