  • How to Manage Family Drama During the Holidays | Part 3 Rest, Rhythm, Ritual

In this part 3 three episode I wrap (pun intended) up the short series about How to Manage Family Drama During the Holidays. If you haven't listened to parts 1 and 2 I highly recommend going back and giving those a listen as well but you don't have to listen to them in order so since you're here now, give this a listen.

In this episode I talk all about what YOU can do to improve time with family and it has to do with creating space for yourself to rest, build rhythm, and create ritual. In this episode I also share a simple meditation and visualization technique with you that you can take and use every day. I hope you enjoy!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. I look forward to journeying with you in 2023!

If you enjoyed the episode I would love to hear what you think. Leave a review!

  • How to Manage Family Drama During the Holidays Part 1

In this episode I talk about the very normal and real relationship challenges which often come up with greater intensity during the holidays. Family is one of the most challenging relationship dynamics to work through, especially when it is with family members who you want to continue to have a relationship with. In this multi part topic I first start by sharing the skill of self reflection. I hope you enjoy and find at least one skill which you can use to improve the relationships in your life.

  • How to set healthy boundaries in relationship

In this episode I talk about the importance of setting boundaries in all relationships. Did you know that boundaries are an important part even in healthy relationships? Boundaries aren't just for toxic or negative relationships, they help us thrive in all relationships. Setting healthy boundaries first starts with be honest with ourselves. Are we clear with ourselves and committed internally to where the boundary needs to be drawn? Secondly, we need to identify consequences should the boundary be crossed or not respected. Lastly, we need to clearly communicate the boundary to those it impacts.

  • Are you listening to me?!

How many times recently have you told someone this or heard this from someone else - "are you evening listening to me?!" I believe that every couple and individuals in any type of relationship have had this phrase come up more than once. The reality is, one of the biggest sources of relationship conflict is poor listening skills. This is because we are not born with good listening skills but rather good listening skills are exactly that, a skill. This means they need to be learned, developed, and honed. There is no better place to make sure you are listening well than in the relationships that are most important to you. If you are struggling with communication and listening, this episode is for you.

  • Am I asking the hard questions?

In this episode I share about the skill of asking yourself the hardest questions you can imagine. I find that many people are more afraid of asking hard questions than the answer. I believe your internal dialogue can teach us a lot when we venture into the space of what if?. This doesn’t mean that you have to answer the question one way or another. It doesn’t even mean that the answer you initially land on has to be the direction you go in. However, I find that exploring these hard questions is often vital to working through barriers in life. I hope you enjoy the episode!

  • Am I being too hard on myself and others?

The lack of self care is one of the biggest personal issues I find many struggle with in relationships and this makes a lot of sense because if we are running dry, how can we expect to show up in a healthy and constructive way? In this episode I talk about the concept of hardness and softness. I shared about my own journey being aware of these tendencies in myself through a recent self care practice. I want to challenge and encourage you as well to engage in your own self care.

  • Healthy Self-Confidence

When is self confidence a good thing and when does it become over the top? In this episode I share a bit about my own personal journey with confidence, arrogance, and finding my way back to what it means to have a healthy amount of self confidence. I also talk about the reality that even when done appropriately, confidence can still come off abrasive and that’s not up to you to really take on.
