The Lord Jesus contrasts Himself to a thief who comes in to steal. He says He is the One Who guarantees life. As we continue to see the I Am statements of Christ, we will be reminded of His centrality to life everlasting.

After Isaiah’s sin is atoned for, he is commissioned with a message that he knows the people will not accept. This Lord’s Day we will consider the nature of hard hearts, and how we as God’s people are to conduct ourselves in light of those who will not believe.

Psalm 53 helps us understand that God is the only hope and life. In this Psalm we see the total depravity and final destruction of the foolish in the rejection of Him, and the deliverance of the faithful.
