The lecture explores some key concepts for resource sharing and presents various tools and good practices useful in the daily work of librarians. The lecturers: C. Lomba is the head of the interlibrary loan service at the library of the University of Cantabria (Spain) and G. Colombo works as a librarian at the scientific library of the University of Insubria and is a volunteer in Hermes project. Since 2021 they are both members of the IFLA Document Delivery and Resource Sharing (DDRS) Standing Committee.

June 29, 2023 HERMES Project: Local conference in Tripoli
The University of Balamand Libraries organizes the Local HERMES conference on Resource Sharing entitled: “Resource Sharing as a Global Library Service: The Impact of HERMES”
The conference takes place in person on April 27 from 9.00 - 4.15 (Beirut time) as local dissemination event within the framework of Hermes project. Speakers from Lebanon and abroad will present the project’s outputs and how libraries can benefit from the TALARIA software as well as intellectual outputs represented by an IFLA Publication on resource sharing and a series of training activities. In addition, librarians will also be introduced to the importance of participating in local and global resource sharing networks.
