"Designing talaria: a new software to support resource sharing of international communities" by Silvana Mangiaracina.
The session focuses on the exploration of the concept of community in resource sharing, and on the objectives and technical features of the new Talaria software to support the RSCVD community. The lecturer: s. Mangiaracina is the head of the Dario Nobili Library of the national research council, bologna research area (Italy). She collaborated in the conception and implementation of the RSCVD initiative and leads the Hermes team as project manager.

The contribution presents possible network models for sharing resources between libraries worldwide and illustrates how the RSCVD network works. The lecturer: P. Bae works at Princeton University Library (USA) as assistant university librarian for scholarly collection services, managing the library's access and acquisition services. He is one of the main creators of the RSCVD initiative under which the HERMES Project was born, and he is member of HERMES scientific committee.
