Heroes and Villains podcast

Listen up to the special Halloween Episode! Jess Hall from The Infinite Longbox joins me to discuss horror classic, Etrigan The Demon. Created by Jack Kirby in 1972, Etrigan is truly a "hellish" character. Bound to the human Jason Blood, and summoned to Earth by a rhyming incantation, Etrigan has appeared throughout the DC Universe. For extra fear try listening to this episode in the Dark!

A Teen age superhero created by an inter-dimensional experiment gone awry, Cyborg is one of the cornerstones of The Teen Titans. Victor Stone was trying to be an ordinary highschool kid when one of his father's experiments changed his life forever. First by horribly mutilating him, then by rebuilding him as perhaps more machine than man. Cyborg did find some solace in being a hero and role model for other children with their own disabilities. Listen up to this episode to hear how Victor Stone was forever transformed into Cyborg.

The most conniving politician that I have ever focused on so far. The weasel that convinced the sweet and pure Jar-Jar Binks to found the Galactic Empire. The scoundrel that made Darth Vader into his lap dog. The most purely evil villain that I've ever profiled (maybe even worse than George Lucas himself!) is Senator, Chancellor, Emperor Palpatine...AKA Darth Sidious. Buckle up, because this episode is a long ride that starts long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away...

I step a little outside my comfort zone with this episode all about the only person listed under "Wizard" in the Chicago phone book. That's right, this week is all about Harry Dresden of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files. Though he started in novels, Harry Dresden now has a fair number of comic books to his credit (as well as a short lived SyFy TV show). Join me and Tom Norris from When Nerds Collide as we discuss all the ins and outs of the Wizard who put the Dresden in Dresden Files.
