Today, we're talking with Cece, Chris, and Nate. We were able to hang out with all three of these fine Starcruiser superfans starting at the pre-voyage muster meetup and then again throughout the voyage aboard the grand Lady H.

The fantastic May the Fourth voyage is in the rear view mirror now.

As we said last week, we had many stories to tell from some of the experiences we had or that we witnessed or that we heard about. When we sat down to start planning this episode last week, we realized that the only thing better than telling these stories would be to have our fellow voyagers who had these moments tell them. 

This week, we speak with Anna, Corey, and Mike about their experiences on the Starcruiser and hear about their favorite stories from the voyage. Next Tuesday, we'll have a second special episode to hear even more.

Welcome to Season Three, fellow travelers!!

Last week, we were lucky enough to join the May the Fourth 2023 Galactic Starcruiser voyage. We had an amazing time and were pumped to come tell you all about it when we realized that it would be way more fun to hear about it from a group of fellow voyagers. However, due to scheduling challenges caused by the unfortunate reality of real life - - versus space life - - our only recording time was the Sunday night following our trip. This was not enough time to get the gang together so next week, we'll be telling you all about the recent voyage.

In this episode, we share details about the party we got to throw the night before the voyage. . . a party with 80 of our new closest friends! It was an amazing night and so much fun. We hope to convey that sense of fun and what the evening meant to us here.

As this episode releases on May 5th, the heroes will be disembarking from May The Fourth 2023 voyage on the Halcyon. As a result, we're releasing a classic episode from our archives about an appropriate topic - LARP "drop". This term refers to the post-voyage withdrawal that several people report feeling with they leave their Galactic Starcruiser voyage.

 There can be little question - especially for folks who have been passengers onboard the Halcyon - that Disney's Galactic Starcruiser voyage is truly a work of art. Accordingly, like any other great work of art, the experience is designed to evoke strong feelings.

However, because experiencing the voyage is 100% interactive and not passive like watching a movie or TV show or reading a book, the emotions it elicits can be significantly more powerful - both during and after a trip aboard the Halcyon.

We invited former guest Jen Catania of Jen Eyre Cosplay to come discuss these feelings with us and how the Imagineering & LARP wizards at Disney have crafted the experience with these emotional journeys in mind. We talk about LARP 'bleed' and LARP 'drop' and also about how Jen apparently has bad luck around giant robots. :)

There are no spoilers in this episode . . . except to say we all love the Halcyon and our voyages . . . But you knew that, right?

This week, we spoke with Gabi Fleury & Patrick Radecker about some fun "extracurricular" activities that they are planning for their fellow voyagers on the upcoming May 3rd, 2023 voyage of the Halcyon.

Both Patrick and Gabi have some really fun "extras" that they have been working on for the last several months as a way to enhance the already amazing adventures that folks can have.

They also share some fun tips on how you might be inspired to find your ways to plus up the experience for both yourself and the others on your trip.

What would a cruise in the Star Wars universe be without a little sabacc? In this episode, we sat down with Stephen and Jeremy of the Outer Rim Sabacc League Facebook group. This group of nearly 2000 members enjoys all things sabacc and have come together over this fun game pulled straight from the page and silver screen.

We were lucky enough to spend a recent day at Disneyland with Mars Suhardi of the CornerInCoruscant Etsy Shop and ThatCornerInCoruscant on Instagram.

Mars has a black belt in Disney bounding and he shared some of his recent experiences with us.

Mars also recently blew our mind with an amazing idea on how to add interactive elements to Batuu.

We spoke with soon-to-be first-time Halcyon voyager Ryan Street, the owner of the iamGEEK Etsy shop specializing in unique kyber crystals. The kyber crystals that Ryan sells work great in the lightsabers that can be crafted at Savi's Workshop on Batuu. He also sells a wide variety of other merchandise. Ryan is also one of the co-hosts of the long running iamGEEK podcast.

Ryan had sent us some questions about his upcoming voyage and we took the opportunity to really dig into common questions we hear from first-time voyagers. It was a blast to go back and think about what it was like going on Disney's Galactic Starcruiser.

This week, due to the necessities of life in general, we were not able to record an entire new episode. Instead, we are dipping into the archives to replay a couple of our favorite interviews about what is like "behind the scenes" of Disney's Galactic Starcruiser.

The  first interview is with Mike Ehmcke of Wookie Radio. Mike has worked as an AV technician in Entertainment for the wizards at Disney for nearly 25 years. He was a member of the opening crew onboard the Halcyon for the first few voyages of the Galactic Starcruiser. He shared stories of his interest in Star Wars, his time working aboard the ship, and his time with Disney.

The second chat is with Jey - the Crucial Crew Member! Jey works aboard the Galactic Starcruiser as a crew member. We met Jey on Twitter a year ago after our first voyage and were thrilled to be able to chat with him for some info on what it is like to contribute to this amazing experience. Jey's passion for the Halcyon and his work shines through and it was a blast to chat with him.

We also chat about our upcoming Starcruisers Super Fan Muster Meetup and our upcoming trip to Batuu West in Disneyland!
