When we heard about Disney's decision to cease operations for the Halcyon as of the end of September, we all felt a fair amount of emotions that we may not have been entirely prepared for.

Our friend, cosplay and LARP expert Jen Catania, reached out when she heard the news to offer her insights into processing the end of a journey like this. We've had Jen on before to discuss the concept of LARP drop but this is something new for those of us who are not used to these sorts of experiences.

We found her advice to be very helpful and we hope you will also!

This week, we speak with Mark and Alex, two listeners who found creative inspiration after their first voyage aboard the Halycon. This inspiration led them both to put in dozens of hours into working on ways to express their characters and tell their own stories both before the journey and aboard the ship in subsequent voyages.

We also discuss why Martin and Kristine were inspired to create more of their character's journey and learn more about them after their first voyage.

Along the way, we found some interesting conclusions about just what the Halcyon brings out of us in this process of creative discovery and have tips for you to do the same!

The fantastic May the Fourth voyage is in the rear view mirror now.

As we said last week, we had many stories to tell from some of the experiences we had or that we witnessed or that we heard about. When we sat down to start planning this episode last week, we realized that the only thing better than telling these stories would be to have our fellow voyagers who had these moments tell them. 

This week, we speak with Anna, Corey, and Mike about their experiences on the Starcruiser and hear about their favorite stories from the voyage. Next Tuesday, we'll have a second special episode to hear even more.
