Have pandemic fatigue? Same! Dealing with life through COVID is tough, we know that, it's all we have heard and talked about for the past 8 months. But what about the industries and people we don't hear about, like the sex work industry and how those that depend on it for their livelihood are coping. A marginalized community on the best of days, a stigmatized and taboo industry every other day; but one that still very much exists all around us and involves our fellow members of society both as the service providers and consumers. We are honoured to be rejoined today by our favourite Dominatrix and friend, Lady Pim, to discuss how the pandemic has changed how this industry looks, how so many have had to pivot their business to survive and what the future of the sex work industry will look like post-pandemic. We're chatting with Wendi and Kim, the founders and creators of the hugely successful, global brand 'Mixed Chicks.' They share their stories of what it was like growing up multi-racial in a very segregated America and the major challenges they faced, even right down to selecting hair products. This is what ultimately lead to the creation of Mixed Chicks many years later. Hear how Wendi and Kim became fast friends through their mutual needs and struggles with finding the right hair products and how what started as a little garage business turned into so much more than just a line of hair products.
