Welcome to episode two of HERstory podcast for Slice Radio.
Get set to explore more of what inspires female and LBGTIQ+ musicians and songwriters. Beaming out of Australia, we recognise and can relate to the distinct themes who inspire our brethren.
One woman who is unapologetically political in her solo work as well as front woman of Camp Cope, is Georgia Maq.
She spared time to chat about sexism, politics, mental health and millionaires shooting themselves into space just because they can; all whilst knitting a vest.

Welcome to the debut episode of HERstory Podcast for Slice Radio.
This episode we go for a walk down memory lane with Sydney gig correspondent Shane.

The story behind HERstory is exploration of identity evolution in music to sum it up. It’ll be a look into the cultural role of female, LGBTIQ+, First Nations and able musicians and singers and the central lyrical themes. We’ll be going into #metoo, #metoonomore, #blacklivesmatter, mental health and further afield, but it won’t be heavy.
There’s lots of music through the eras and genres, chats with musicians and correspondents in the UK and US.
