Hey, It's Jake

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion released their new song “WAP” and it has led to some discussions. It seems that people have taken issue with women singing about their genitals and sexual acts, while men have been able to do it for ages. We’ve seen this double standard before, but this song really brought out the haters. I don’t get how in 2020 this is still a thing and it is very sexist. I’m also not about the censorship that this song has been getting on radio. The edited version is the one that sounds gross. I mean “wet and gushy”? It's interesting to me how people have responded to "WAP".

The pandemic has made it hard for me to find a job after graduating in December. I was getting some traction and then everything happened. I now have been trying to find work in some areas where you don't need a college degree and I can't get hired. Is it because I'm "over-qualified" or is it because they're afraid I will leave as soon as I find a job in my chosen career field?

I’m not a fan of censorship and I hate to see things I create, even if informative, not receive the same reach as other things deemed safe to show audiences. A video I just released on YouTube about the Cannabis Cup seemed to not reach as many people on YouTube despite marijuana being a very popular topic. I also didn’t advertise it on TikTok as much, cause I knew the hashtags were blocked, so I didn’t want to risk my account.  It of course, has to do with ad sales, but it still makes me upset.

My boyfriend got me into disc golf this past May. I laughed when he first told me he played because I had a bad relationship with disc golfers. It all stemmed from the way a local park where I used to live had their course set-up. It wasn't great and they were always almost hitting those of us that were using the walking paths. I really enjoy it now and wish I had tried it out a lot sooner.

Many people are conflicted this election in the United States and it is starting to feel a little bit like 2016 all over again. We have to come together and vote towards what most represent the leader and country we want, rather than sit this election out and let another four years go dangerously by us.

TikTok is an amazing app that deserves more recognition than it gets from a lot of people. It really is an amazing opportunity to grow your following and get seen online. TikTok has two options when it comes to United States operations; be banned or sell to an American company. Apple, Microsoft, and even Twitter are interested in purchasing the most popular app in the world.

OnlyFans may have started as amatuer adult-content website, but I believe it is pivoting towards a broader audience. The announcement by CardiB that she is joining OnlyFans to sell exclusive (non-nude) content further cements this idea. It really seems to be positioning itself as a true Patreon alternative.
