NG:DEV.TEAM, the independent developer of the highly-acclaimed Neo Geo and Dreamcast titles Last Hope, Fast Striker, and Gunlord (which we reviewed back in June) is now hard at work on another manic shooter, Neo XYX.  New footage of this impressive bullet-hell style shooter was just released via NG:DEV.TEAM’s Youtube account showing off some very slick-looking game play of the game’s second stage. The brief video showcases the game’s lightning-fast shooter action with tons of on-screen bullets, large, detailed enemy sprites and colorful explosions. NG:DEV.TEAM is currently taking pre-orders for the Neo Geo MVS version of the game on their site. Developer Overhaul Games has announced the pre-loading has begun for their upcoming re-make of the 1998 PC roleplaying classic, Baldur’s Gate.  This upgraded port of the most successful Dungeons & Dragons game of all time features enhanced visuals and gameplay, as well as new characters to round out your party featuring their own unique quests to complete. You can purchase Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition directly from Beamdog for $19.99. Your purchase allows you to pre-load the game so that you can begin your quest immediately when the game launches on November 28th. It also nets you a nifty badge to sport on the Baldursgate.com forums.

Today Rockstar released the long-awaited trailer for the GTA V, and it’s just as explosive as any armchair felon could hope for. Until now, Rockstar has remained tight-lipped about GTA V since the game’s debut trailer over a year ago. This new trailer gives us a look at GTA V’s three playable characters, and a glimpse at some of the over-the-top action, which seems to raise the bar higher than ever before. From the footage shown it seems like some of the more exciting features of San Andreas have returned, such as the sprawling countrysides, skydiving (out of a falling SUV no less), and planes. Rise of the Triad, the ultra-violent FPS renowned for its frenetic gameplay and obscene amounts of squishy gibs, is being revived by developer Interceptor Entertainment. Completely rebuilt from the ground up, Rise of the Triad keeps the frantic and gory action of the Apogee original while giving the game a modern makeover to keep the gibs looking  gooier than ever! Interceptor Entertainment’s team of developers includes members of the team responsible for the 1994 original, ensuring this reboot stays true to the game’s original vision. Rise of the Triad is slated to be released on PC in early 2013.
