Remember what God has done reignites passion to believe God for what He can do.

Part one of the new sermon series ‘Finishing At The Top’ delivered by Pastor Dale Walker. Finishing at the top is about accomplishing God’s highest purpose for your life each day so that at the end you fulfill God’s best plan. It’s about being a “summit climber”. Paul said it this way:

“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:12-14 NIV)

Part six of the ‘Connection’ series, delivered by Pastor Dale Walker. God not only has a plan to help us make a divine connection with Him and others in the faith: He wants to use us to be a bridge of His love beyond the family of God. We want to talk about not just making connections in Christ but also for Christ in the world.

“And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassador’s; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” (2 Cor. 5:18-20 NLT)

Part four of the ‘Connection’ series, delivered by Pastor Dale Walker. We have been in a series answering why it is that everyone communicates but few connect. We are seeking to understand from the Bible connection keys that will help us start and fuel a “loveolution” in our marriages, families, church, and community. If our relationships get better everything in our lives will get better. The better we connect the more we flourish. Two are better than one if they have the same heart.

“Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.” (Psalms 92:13-15 NKJV)

Part three of the ‘Connection’ series, delivered by Pastor Dale Walker. If almost everybody agrees that we need authentic community, why is it so rare? Why is it that so often when we want to be connectors, we end up being pretenders? The answer of course is fear. It is natural to fear hurt and rejection. To be connected we must be vulnerable. To be vulnerable we risk being hurt. We all want to know that we are safe before we are vulnerable. The problem is we won’t know we are safe until we are vulnerable. Though it can hurt to be vulnerable, ultimately, we will hurt more if we’re not.

“This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.” (1 John 1:5-9 NIV)

Part two of the ‘Connection’ series, delivered by Pastor Dale Walker. We all have “superpowers.” A superpower within reach of all of us is the power of encouragement. One common trait of true heroes is that they make us feel special and powerful.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NIV)

The first episode of this spiritual growth campaign will teach us how to have the relationships we really want by learning to powerfully connect with people out of the love we receive from our connection with God. We can start a “loveolution” by learning to connect with others the way Jesus connects with us.
