We all have experienced things from our past in which we may want to forget and/or push aside.  However, as we continue to ignore the traumas and hardships of our past, we continue to hinder our growth.  Childhood trauma is often ignored and brushed off in our communities, yet we must put an end to this. We need to take the necessary steps towards a healed, happy and mended self.  But we cannot move into our present nor future if we are afraid to face our past.  This can often be a difficult task, yet with the right conversations with the right people we can all find a way towards this healed and enlightened self.  Going within isn't just about fixing the childhood trauma, yet it is a gateway into self-discovery.  The more we go within ourselves, the more we gain knowledge about our true divine selves.  We must find ways to go within and heal ourselves if we lack the means to ask for help.  So how do we do this?  Where is that child we left years ago?  How do we get to them and what do we say?  These are questions often asked when entering this topic.  In this episode, myself and Miss Anita Williams will dive gracefully into this challenging conversation as we share our own experiences of self-discovery, trauma and the embracing of our inner child.  Take the first step by listening to this engaging EP.  You can also click on the link below (or copy and paste into your browser) and take the "Lost Inner Child" test:

As Black American Women living in Spain we have found ways to cope with the lack of diversity as well as the racism that does  currently exist here.  In this episode I have the pleasure of hosting my sister Joy E. Glenn, as she helps me talk about this silent, yet bold issue that exist all around the world.  I say silent because in Spain some blacks experience the racism on a lower scale or not even at all; while others experience the racism on a much larger scale.

It is never easy to let go of things that we may feel we need. However, it is always important to know and become aware of the difference between what we want and what we need.  What we want is not always what we need, and what we need are things that serve our hearts,minds, bodies, and soul.  There are times when we need to just let things go; rather it be people, places, things, habits, etc.  When it no longer serves  our journey nor our higher selves we need to drop it.  This will never be an easy task in the beginning, yet the more we do it, the easier it becomes.  Enjoy this episode as myself and my home-girl KP speak about our own experiences on letting go as we also give advice and guidance.

There are currently many new forms of distractions created in this world to occupy our conscious space.  A space I feel is greatly important for each person's life's journey.  Without peace, love and harmony within our own personal aura, how can we find or feel that in others. Without time alone, how can we understand our own consciousness or subconscious thoughts?  How can we know ourselves better than our lover, brother, sister, or mother does? How can we heal ourselves mentally, spiritually, emotionally, physically, and sexually? This episodes touches on the importance of finding pleasure in being with thyself. That solitude does not mean loneliness. Shadow work is a spiritual practice that enables a person to view and improve parts of themselves that they may want to hide.  These parts  of us all are identified as our shadows; the dark silhouette that we can never make disappear; our flaws, weaknesses, hidden demons.  With the light, there is reflected through every being on this planet, a dark form that is always present, even out of the light. 
 Are these aspects of us something to be ashamed of or to fear....? I think not. When we give things our power through fear and ignorance, it is when these very things can defeat us.  We won't be defeated if we are willing to do the spiritual work. Love is understanding, peace is knowing, happiness is showing .
