    With the start of the regular season just three weeks away, the WCPO High School Insider Podcast is taking a road trip to the Fort Wright Chick-fil-A location to discuss the Beechwood and Covington Catholic football programs.

    Former Princeton standout Darius Bazley made national headlines last spring when he announced his decision to forgo a Syracuse scholarship and enter the NBA G League. Later, the 6-foot-9 forward decided to skip the G League to prepare for the NBA Draft June 20.

    University of Kentucky safety Mike Edwards is one of a handful of area products who hope to hear their name called during the NFL Draft April 25-27 (ABC, Channel 9).
    Edwards, a 2014 Winton Woods High School graduate, never missed a game in his four-year career at UK, playing in 51 games with 44 consecutive starts. He recently performed well at a pro day in Lexington last week.
    The former Winton Woods High School standout had 318 tackles and became just the 19th player in school history with 300 or more tackles.

    Larry Cox is remaining a head football coach in Butler County, but he’s moved to Oxford to lead the Talawanda Brave this fall.
    The longtime former Lakota West head coach was named the Talawanda coach in mid-December and is trying to turn around a Brave program that has a 5-35 record since the 2015 season.
    Cox joined the WCPO High School Insider Podcast to discuss the Southwest Ohio Conference program and how much he’s enjoyed a fresh start in Oxford.

    Former Iowa State and Mount Healthy High School football standout David Montgomery is preparing for the NFL Draft later this month.
    He ran a 4.57 in the 40-yard dash in last week's Pro Day at Iowa State. He's also receiving advice from his high school coach, Mount Healthy's Arvie Crouch.
    The NFL has been a dream for Montgomery, a 2016 Mount Healthy graduate. He is closer to that reality as the annual draft approaches April 25-27 in Nashville (ABC, Channel 9).
    Montgomery rushed for 1,216 yards and 13 touchdowns in 12 games as a junior last season for the Cyclones before he declared for the draft in January.
    Montgomery discusses the process leading up to the draft and how he's dealt with interested teams and the media questions as he prepares for a life-changing opportunity to play pro football.
