    The undefeated Moeller basketball team entered some rarefied air Saturday night by winning the Division I state title. Moeller coach Carl Kremer joins the WCPO High School Insider Podcast to discuss the Crusaders' second straight state championship.
    Moeller (29-0) was the first area large school team since Elder (1973 and 1974) to win back-to-back boys’ basketball titles.
    Prior to Saturday, a large-school division boys' basketball team hadn't been undefeated in the Greater Cincinnati area since Hamilton Taft won the Class AA title in 1962 (27-0).
    Kremer also discusses what makes the basketball program on Montgomery Road so special each season.

    The Mount Notre Dame basketball team tied a state record by winning its seventh state championship Saturday night in Columbus. The Cougars (27-2) outscored Pickerington Central 20-2 in the fourth quarter en route to the trophy. For MND coach Dr. Scott Rogers, it was his fourth state title as a head coach.     The Mount Notre Dame basketball team has an opportunity at Ohio high school girls’ basketball history this weekend in Columbus.
    MND (25-2) is aiming for its seventh state title and could break a tie with Pickerington and South Euclid Regina for the most state girls’ basketball championships in Ohio High School Athletic Association history.

    The Minnesota Vikings tight end and former Elder High School football and basketball standout returned to his alma mater in front of a sold-out crowd and much fanfare at Elder’s annual sports stag.
    Rudolph, 29, is entering his ninth season with the Vikings but has continued to give back to Elder including supporting the new Panther Fitness Center.

  • Moeller acting head coach Todd Naumann discusses Crusaders' football after Doug Rosfeld joins Bengals
    The Moeller football program was certainly in the spotlight this week.
    Doug Rosfeld, the GCL South coach of the year, made significant headlines Monday morning after he decided to leave the Crusaders to become the Cincinnati Bengals’ director of coaching operations.
    On Monday morning, the school lauded Rosfeld, a 1997 graduate, while moving forward on a bittersweet day.
    Moeller named Todd Naumann as the acting head coach while the school conducts a national search to replace Rosfeld.
    Moeller Athletic Director Mike Asbeck said Naumann was a candidate though there was no timeline on naming the new coach.
    Naumann joins the WCPO High School Insider Podcast to discuss his duties this week and the message to the team during this transition.
