The Fargo Shanley girls basketball team defeated the Mandan Braves in the State Class A semifinals on Friday, March 13. 

Shanley was scheduled to play Devils Lake in the championship on Saturday, March 14, however the tournament was suspended with the coronavirus. 

The Deacons graduate four seniors from this year's team.

Hillsboro-Central Valley boys basketball head coach Elliot Rotvold talks with Chase Miller and Derek Hanson on the North Dakota State Class B boys basketball tournament being postponed until further notice. 

Rugby, New Town, Beulah, Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier, Richland, Four Winds-Minnewaukan, Shiloh Christian and Hillsboro-Central Valley all made the state tournament.

West Fargo Sheyenne enters the Class A Boys' State basketball tournament as the No. 1 seed from the East. The Mustangs will play Dickinson at 6 tonight in the quarterfinals from the Scheels Center.

Central Cass and Richland meet in the Region 1 boys basketball championship on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.

The winner heads to the North Dakota State Class B boys basketball tournament on Thursday, March 18-20 at the Bismarck Events Center. 

Central Cass head coach Matt Norman talks about the recent groove his team has found. The Squirrels have won 8 straight games. 

Joel Morgan and Mick Farkas will have the play-by-play on 790 KFGO and 94.1 FM. Morgan previews the title with Chase Miller. 

Richland beat Central Cass 60-59 in their only meeting this season.

The Maple Valley Raiders edged out the Milnor/North Sargent Bulldogs in the Region 1 boys basketball tournament on Tuesday night. 

Carson Hovelson paced Maple Valley with 19 points and 4 made three-pointers in the game.

Mason Bogart scored a game-high 26 points for Milnor/North Sargent. The Bulldogs season comes to an end with a 6-15 overall record.

Fargo Davies and West Fargo Sheyenne closed out the regular season with two overtime games on Thursday night. 

Davies won the girls game 63-61 and the Eagles won the boys game 69-68.
