Michael Soyza is a Malaysian poker player from Kuala Lumpur. He first started playing poker in 2008, playing in a $0.03/$0.06 home game as his first introduction to the game. After a three-year foray into the world of investment banking, Soyza jumped into poker full time. After cashing for over $650,000 in 2017, Soyza followed it up with six tournament wins in 2018 for a total of more than $1.5M. In 2019, at the esteemed Triton Poker Series in Jeju, Soyza defeated Sam Greenwood heads-up to win Event #3: HK$500K Six Max for over $1.4 million. He then won the 2019 PokerStars APPT Korea Super High Roller for $157,423. Later that year, he finished fourth in the Triton Super High Roller Series London Main Event for another $1.3 million.
