Part 2 of what I wish I knew sooner, about midlife awakening, feminine power, body wisdom and releasing rules that were never truly yours.
Becoming yourself can sound empowering, but in reality it can feel deeply uncomfortable.
Because once you begin to awaken, you start seeing all the rules you have been living by. Rules about what you should want, how you should work, how a woman should behave, how much space you are allowed to take up, and who you are allowed to become.
In this episode, I continue the conversation from last week’s Spiritual Awakening in Midlife: 10 Things I Wish I Knew and explore what happens when the path starts changing how you live, choose, work and show up.
This part of the conversation focuses on the inherited rules that shape us, from desire and feminine power to working rhythmically, listening to the body, and understanding what happens when you can no longer abandon yourself to keep fitting into a life that no longer works.
As I recorded this, it became clear there was more here than one episode could comfortably hold, so I’ve split this part of the conversation in two. The next episode will move into confidence, visibility, finding your tribe, not everyone coming with you, and why your dreams are not too big.
If this episode speaks to you, please share it with one woman who is learning to become herself in this season of life.
And if you haven’t listened to Part 1 yet, go back to Spiritual Awakening in Midlife: 10 Things I Wish I Knew, because that episode gives the foundation for this deeper conversation.
