These patterns are a silent inheritance passed down through generations of women who were forced to hide their true nature to survive. If you have ever been told you are “too much,” learned to stay quiet to keep the peace, or held yourself back so you do not outshine others, you are not alone.
In this two-part mini-series, we begin by exploring the Witch Wound. This is the ancestral and cultural scar left by generations of women who were shamed, silenced, or punished for their power, intuition, and connection to nature.
Before “witch” became a Halloween costume, it was a word for wise women, healers, teachers, and intuitives who trusted their inner knowing. Over time, that energy was distorted, mocked, and feared. The impact did not disappear. It simply moved into our bodies, our beliefs, and our behaviour.
Today it can show up as self-silencing, people-pleasing, fear of being judged, holding back your ideas, or shrinking your presence so you feel safer. This episode invites you to see those patterns not as personal failings but as symptoms of a much older story you have inherited.
In this episode, I share:
- What the Witch Wound is and how it formed
- How it shows up now in your voice, visibility, and self-expression
- Why understanding this wound is a powerful first step in reclaiming your power and intuition
Make sure to join me again next week for part two of this series, where we explore the Sister Wound. That episode uncovers how this ancient pattern appears as competition, comparison, and disconnection between women. We have all experienced it, so come and find out why it happens and what you can begin to do to change it.
