  • EP.23 You become the person you want to be by going beyond where you’ve stopped at before

You know that feeling you have that tells you you can’t do something - how true it feels and how concrete. Only when you dismantle it, when you push past it do you realise just how little weight it holds - just how false it really is. That’s one of the most important ways you love yourself - by choosing to do the one thing you can’t do but have always wanted to do - and realising that your limits were never fixed the way you imagine them to be.

So I hope this inspires you to know just how much is possible for you, just how you can do everything you think you can’t do and just how much you deserve to credit yourself for all of it. There are so many ways you’ve already become the person you always wanted to be and you’ve barely noticed it !!

So I’ve written a book all about this coming out very soon - I wanted it to give you the same feeling where everything is possible! If you want to follow the lead up to it, I share videos of my words and process on IG - @gabriellajessup & on TikTok & LinkedIn - @gabriella_jessup & I write Substack articles - @gabriellaajessup 🤍 website & author mailing list here: gabriellajessup.com

And if you would like to speak about collaboration, or having me as a guest on your podcast, being on mine or giving a talk, or hosting - would love to hear from you - [email protected]

Would love to hear what resonated with you most this episode & anything else you’d like to hear for future episodes: thank you so much for listening !! x x

  • EP. 22 How being in Paris challenges your every limiting belief

Everything I didn’t expect to realise from my month in Paris that I’m so glad I did. The throughline of every conversation I had while I was there that made me realise we all have so much more in common than we would ever expect. Even with different languages, different cultures, different contexts, different cities, I still found so much resonance with strangers who became friends, and with random interactions that taught me everything I needed to know that I can share with you.

I’m so excited to share this with you & so thankful that you take the time to listen to it. I would so love to hear what stayed with you the most.

Also my book! You can sign up to my mailing list on gabriellajessup.com & let me know if you want to be a guest on my podcast. It’s all about the importance of self-love and going after your dreams.

    With love.

  • EP.21 with Paul Gottsegen - how to truly lead, do the opposite and create your own impact

President of ISG, author of Do The Opposite - Sort of, and marketing leader with 40 years of experience, Paul Gottsegen is someone I feel so lucky to have spoken to on my podcast. Beyond his remarkable career including being CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) for Mindtree and Infosys, he worked as VP of Enterprise Marketing at Dell, HP and Compaq, making brand decisions at critical junctures in line with the digital transformation that was happening around the world at that time. But what really drew me to having Paul as a guest was how authentic and powerful his leadership is, how much he values giving back and having people's back and how he challenges conventional wisdom when it limits you.

I'm so excited for you to listen to our conversation - you feel empowered by listening to Paul alone. And you can get his book on Amazon, Waterstones, Barnes and Noble etc. I loved reading it and think it's a book everyone deserves to read for their career - anyone wanting to stand out and impress and leaders looking to be better leaders.

    With huge thanks to Paul.

  • EP. 20 with Andrew Patterson - how resilience changes your life from cricketer to teacher & speaker

I’m so excited for you to hear this episode I recorded with Andrew Patterson. It was the kind of conversation which really makes you think about your own life and all the ways you can choose resilience and courage by focusing on what is in your control and what isn’t. I loved hearing about what it was like to handle such immense and exciting pressure on a national level in the sporting world but also how he applied all the skills he honed as a teacher and speaker, navigating a life-changing diagnosis. I love how he dreams big, fundraises and turns his story to power.

  • EP.19 What if everything you love is everything you are?

I’m so excited to share more of what I love with you and I’m figuring it all out in real time. This is about uncovering what you once loved, what you replaced for fitting in and how to get it back. This is for anyone who loves so many things, but has pushed it away because you didn’t know how to be more than one dimension of who you are.

I’d LOVE to hear what this means to you, and how it’s resonated. Message me!

  • EP.18 Ella-Grace Gregoire on honing the skill of confidence as an actor, founder and social impact leader

I had the opportunity to talk with Ella-Grace on founding the award-winning Gracia Group, her time spent acting on Coronation Street and her advice on how we can hone our confidence and charisma instead of only seeing it as a trait. Ella-Grace is a force of good in her social impact work with Streetwise and in encouraging people from all backgrounds to believe in themselves to know that no matter the circumstance or adversity, you can reclaim your life and achieve everything you set out to. I absolutely loved this conversation and am excited for you to listen.

  • EP.17 Overcoming yourself on the way to your dreams

We so often share our self-doubt once we have overcome it, but on the way to our dreams we find ourselves facing exposure to everything we have held off into the future. I was so inspired by “The World of Creatives” on YouTube and his new approach to idea generation that I had to create this podcast to share the combination of experiences I’ve been having recently in my own life and empowering perspectives on what it takes to overcome yourself that we don’t talk about enough. It’s always worth it but it does take showing up as the highest and fullest expression of who you are and who you are becoming. I’d love to hear what resonates most with you or if you see yourself in this too. With love!

  • EP.16 How to become the confident version of you

I talk about what’s been changing my life in how I approach myself and in how I approach confidence and what it means to me. I believe we have a version of us who is confident but we can only access that version of us by strengthening the habit of confidence. We can seek inspiration from people who embody what confidence means to us and surround ourselves with people and in environments which challenge us to be the best version of ourselves.

  • EP.15 If you avoid failure you avoid success - here’s why

This is the most powerful realisation I’ve ever had on failure and what it really means. There is so much value in failure - it teaches us what success can’t. Here’s how I approach failure and how to celebrate yourself even before your personal success.

About Higher Self Thinking

From the publisher's feed

If I can’t be everything in this life, I get to interview people who are remarkable at what they do. This is a podcast where I interview people about what it takes to love themselves enough to go after their dreams, and where I share everything I learn about self-confidence, challenging your limiting beliefs and being everything you ever dreamed of.
