This morning we continue to light candles and express our greatest joy for the coming of the Lord. We hope you will join us for a special celebration as we welcome the God-given word and light into our world.

Faithfulness in this advent season begins with our longing to see God as the love for the world. Join us as we gather with the angels and journey to witness the love of God; given for the sake of the world.

It is unfortunate that "blessed" has become a way to categorize superficial spirituality. But Jesus didn't just use the word "blessed," he embodied the quality and bestowed it upon those around him. This morning we explore what it means to be "blessed" by God so we may live lives of blessing to others and our world.

"You have been chosen." We often hear this from an email or text from a telemarketer (and insert eye roll). Or worse, it is the feeling we get when we are in trouble or assigned a task we would rather not do. But what if being "chosen" was God's way of reminding us of who we are as the "beloved of God?" Join us as we stand with Jesus in the Jordan and hear the reminder that we have been chosen for God, by God, to be the people of God.

Will we be willing to join God in giving to those who we might imagine unworthy or unfit for God's grace? Let us not look back as we continue to envision how disciples can truly be ever loving, growing, and sent into the world.
