Waiting is one of the greatest challenges to a faithful follower of God. Bottom line: waiting means we have no control over the “when” of our faith. This morning we enter into the painful reality of Abram’s waiting room and ask: “O Lord God, what will you give me?” Join us in a room that provides an obstructed view of the “when” and “where” of God at work in our life.

As Abram journeyed with God he also travelled with his entire family. Any family that travels together plays together… and in playing families don’t always play “fair.” This morning we travel to a room where Abram, Lot, and all their hired hands struggle to get along. Join us as we take a seat in the “play” room and watch how Abram and Lot work through the difficulty of relationship and shared space.

This morning we are summoned to a meeting room. God has called the meeting and is asking Abram and his family to make a critical decision: are they willing to go where God is sending them? Though God has promised blessing it is not without tremendous sacrifice and trust. Join us as we explore one of the foundational rooms in all of scripture and ask how we can meet the God who pursues us and asks us for trust and faithfulness.

This morning we conclude our series in Luke by looking at the end of the gospel story. Here we find Jesus inviting the disciples to proclaim the resurrected Christ with a “new” set of clothes - powerful clothes that empower them for witness. Join us as we are reminded of our calling as disciples who are clothed with power.

Even though Easter will look much different this year, the story of resurrection remains the pivotal moment in Luke's gospel story. When two angels appear at the tomb and announce the good news to the grieving women, they ask them to remember the words Jesus had spoken. But sometimes the noise of Jerusalem keeps us from remembering the words of Galilee... join us as we celebrate and rejoice that Christ the Lord has risen indeed!

Though many might consider Palm Sunday a time for celebration and praise, Luke presents a Savior who is weeping. Are we willing to examine the palm branches of our own expectations while leaning into the deep disappointment of our unmet expectations? Join us as we continue this season of Lent and enter into a week focused on the suffering of Christ.

It is safe to say that we are living in a wilderness. Quarantine and staying "in place" has fostered a deep sense of isolation, dependence, and even loneliness. But throughout the story of scripture God has always prepared people for the wilderness. Join us again this Sunday as we continue our study in Luke and notice how Jesus was prepared for the wilderness.

This is, no doubt, an unsettling time for us as a church. Yet this week, we lean into what we know for sure: this is God's space and God is sovereign. Join us for a special message as we invite the Church to rise up, not worry, and strive towards the one that offers calm in the midst of this crisis.

I can imagine the look on the disciple’s face when Jesus told them that his “good news” would be about suffering, rejection, and death. Yet, even though we frequently thank Jesus for dying for our sins we rarely consider how His suffering is also for us. Join us as we face the hard reality of the invitation to suffer with Jesus.

When is the last time you told someone about what Jesus had done for you? This morning we explore the healing of a possessed man and hear Jesus say with conviction: “Go and tell how much God has done for you.” I invite you again into the Jesus story and consider the ways you might proclaim the story with your words and actions.
