In the final episode of the series, Mac continues to explore the Duncan-less universe, where Methos returns to his horsemen ways, Richie goes out as a sniveling weenie, and Tess leads a perfectly happy life that the show tries desperately to convince us is secretly awful. Oh- and then Mac beats O’Rourke (remember that guy?) and the quickening triggers a montage. The Rewatchers break down what they were hoping for from the finale, pitch a major season six rewrite, and unpack their emotions as the series draws to a close.

Go back in time with the Rewatchers to revisit the first episode of the series! Duncan‘s quiet life is turned upside down when a clansman, a child burglar, and an evil cat all converge on his antique shop (and refuse to use doors). The Rewatchers spend a long time talking window installation, revel in some sweet dummy falls, and debate their own hot takes from five years ago.

The full cast that you love finally reunites for (gasp!) the penultimate episode of the series! When a gas leak causes Mac to rip-off It’s a Wonderful Life, with fan-favorite Hugh serving as his guardian angel, he is shocked to discover that Horton lives and that Amanda and Joe suck without him. The Rewatchers watch Amanda get fridged three times in a row, invent a coaster based communication system, and wonder why literally everyone has a gun.

It only took eleven episodes, but characters you care about are finally in season 6! When an immortal slaver gets his mitts on Joe’s daughter, it forces Methos and Joe to embark on a buddy cop road trip around France until Methos finally decides to actually fight for a change. The Rewatchers try to figure out the right spin-off from this episode, advance some hot takes on a fan favorite, and get fired up about Caligula’s horse.

In this first-of-its kind Mac-less episode, wandering do-gooders Katherine and Nick mash together action tropes with romcom banter and hope that a spin-off sticks! Marital tension ensues when immortal Katherine ditches her mortal boo to hunt down Bartholomew, a huckster who uses religious causes to line his own pockets. The Rewatchers break down Paris’s worst criminal investigation since season 3, spend way too long wondering about Brother Bart’s financial affairs, and dig into a briefcase full of guns and ragu (that’s right, it’s bullets and bolognese baby)!

The next contestant in spin-off roulette is Reagan Cole, a bounty hunter who isn’t afraid to use her feminine wiles to bore the audience and get the drop on horny idiots. Mac takes a little vacation in this episode so that Reagan can team up with a himbo to outsmart the world’s grossest cop and most generic assassin/Yankees fan. The Rewatchers try to figure out the hook of this main character, meet the worst stand up in Miami, and herald the return of Mac-er the master hacker.
