Nature may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the Motor City, but Detroit is home to one of the largest old growth forests in southeast Michigan. At 1,200 acres, Rouge Park is the largest urban park in the state — yet Michigan Trails Magazine has failed to include the park and its trails in its listings for years. Today on "The Metro," were joined by Antonio Cosme, land stewardship manager for Friends of Rouge Park, and Ian Solomon, communications and engagement manager for the Detroit Parks Coalition, to discuss the park and its many offerings.
