In our last podcast for 2012 we look at Life Day, AKA Christmas as Rick and Simon join me to discuss Christmas Specials the good, the bad, the sci-fi and UGH the christmas carol. We compare how the US and the UK view christmas as well as the differences between christmas as a kid and as a parent and lord knows Rick and I are getting closer every day to grandparenthood. Plus we digress onto technology and life… It’s christmas, we are allowed a little indulgence.

Stefan has escaped his bonds, only to discover that someone has stole his beer. While he is looking for it, Gareth Edwards is joined by Timothy Wetzel to talk about the surprize hit from Valve.

They both discuss how the game play is and what they like from both Portal and Portal 2 before talking about what an 3rd Portal might be like or if it even needs one.

What would a modern audience think of 1970’s TV? Does it still stack up today in this world of CGI, action and adventure. Odile loaned a copy of Children of the Stones to her students in order to find out.

Odile Thomas and Jim Moon take over the show (by force, I am actually tied up at the moment and typing with my nose) to discuss the 1976 TV Series Children of the Stones.  Is it an updated version of the Prisoner or an early version of Lost or in a class of it’s own.  Odile and Jim cover all seven episodes.

Ever had a relative or friend visit unannounced that you would probably prefer didn’t?  Well I share my experiences in recent times with that little problem, as well as provide an introduction to a new set of chapters going out on the martians are here.
