First of all let me apologize about the sound quality in this episode, we are getting new equipment and our overall sound will be getting better in future episodes. Now back to it, we give an update about the natural resource committee vote on lowering the buck limit in West Virginia. We also touch on the new acting director of the Bureau of Land Management, William Perry Pendley, whom is an advocate of returning public lands in the west back to private ownership. What effect will that have on everyone who enjoys the vast public lands in the west?
Lowering the Buck Limit from three to two in West Virginia can be an emotionally driven and polarizing topic for the hunters of the mountain state. National and State organizations, like the Quality Deer Management Association and the Local branches of that group (WV QDMA) are supporting the measure. With less than 1% of the hunters filling the third buck tag, is a lower the buck limit going to make a difference?
We have two unique perspectives on this topic, a young hunter who is at the dawn of his hunting career and two guys that are long in the tooth, with over 80 combined years in the field.
