The philosopher, Baloo the Bear, once referred to the “bear necessities” of life. As misguided as he was, he was correct in one thing: life requires basic principles, rules and routine. Jesus spoke of these “unforced rhythms of grace” in Matthew 11 which encapsulate what it meant to be a Jesus follower. In closing the series, we hear about the need for each person to take all the information and truth discussed over the previous weeks and piece all of it together to build their own rhythm of life with Jesus.

Living a healthy life requires living in alignment to God’s will and order. Living a life “in the pocket” means we live in the sweet spot of grace and truth. We cannot allow ourselves to be led astray by false doctrine. false prophets, and a world bent on lawlessness. Based on the book of Jude, we hope to layout the need of partnership with the Lord and the major consequences that take place if we refuse to walk in faith and trust.

Our spirits have been made alive through the Holy Spirit. We are now able to set our spiritual tempo to the metronome of God. When we do this, we are able to access a divine power and nature to rise above earthly physical confines and begin to walk in the power of God.

This message will layout the biblical and practical realities of walking "by the Spirit" through prayer and worship.

We won’t find our rhythm with God until we choose to remember who He is and what He can do. We need to see Him as the one who creates beauty out of disappointment. When we look to Jesus, He shows us that beautiful things can grow out of the dirt. The story isn’t over until He says it is.

The soul (mind, will and emotions) is a great servant but is a horrible master. It's not that the soul should be fired; it's just not supposed to be boss. Our emotional health is a non-negotiable dynamic of the overall healthy life we need to be cultivating. Just like the warning light on our vehicles dashboard, our emotions alert us when something is not okay. Let's bring clarity to the difference between soul and spirit and align it to its proper place and develop patterns that keep there.

The fact that we are a body is often and easily belittled in Christian faith. There is a fleshly nature that we are meant to put to death, by the grace of the Holy Spirit, but there is also a flesh that we are meant to nourish and cherish. As a body we have become the house of the Spirit of God. We can’t afford to allow our houses to fall apart. We must restore the value of the body back to its proper place by appreciating and taking responsibility for the health of ourselves.

We are not just a spirit but, also a soul and body. How God has uniquely designed us in His image, is vital for us to understand if we are to live healthy lives. All dimensions are equal but have different functions. It is our goal to bring biblical harmony between the three dimensions that make us human.

Since the beginning, we were at war with God. The fight for our independence and control did not bring the ultimate peace we were so desperately needing. Hostility on our side created a chasm between us and the very One who is the source of peace.

But then, God made the first step to end the war – He sent His Son. Jesus’ life voluntarily sacrificed for us has broken the power of death and hostility. And now God offers every person a peace treaty signed with His own blood. The barrier separating us from a peaceful loving relationship with Him has been broken. Hatred died as God’s love won this war.

It’s your time to engage in the peace talks with God.
