The irony of change is that it's a common experience in life. Some changes we celebrate; others we dread. Yet we see in Scripture that God uses change for His purposes. As we look to Psalm 80 and the prayer for restoration, we see that change is tied into the idea of restoring, and that often involves changing us, not merely our circumstances. Join us as we explore the concept of change in Scripture as we ask God to Turn us Back.

The Bible has a lot to say about sin. We sometimes avoid talking about it because it can offend, or it can be used wrongly, or it can make us feel guilty. But we need to talk about it. And as we look at what Scripture says about sin, it's clear that sin is destructive, rebellious, and costly. But what's even more clear is how God responds with grace and mercy in the midst of our mess. Join us as we look to see what hope there is for us all in Christ.

When faced with difficulties, we often find it difficult to obey and follow what Christ has called us to do. But it is in those times that God works to grow, stretch, and teach us new things. Join us as we see how God would have us respond to being Between a Rock and a Hard Place.

One of the striking things often found accompanying prayer in Scripture is confidence. We could dismiss this as arrogance; after all, what right do we have to expect that God will give us what we want? But as we look closer and evaluate the broad scope of Scripture, we see a picture emerge of God's people recognizing that they have access to God the Father because of what Christ has done. One of the important aspects of church life is how to engage with those outside our circle. This can be many things, but one relationship that will always be required is cross-generational. How do we engage with people who have dramatically different experiences, perspectives, and values than us? Do we have the option? As we conclude our series in 1st Thessalonians, we're reminded the importance of community. How we relate to the people around us says a lot about who we are, and represents God to the world. Let's look to Scripture to see how God calls us to live in Gospel Community.

As we read descriptions of what will happen at The Day of the Lord, our minds are drawn to questions: What do all the images mean? What's the order of events? And when is it going to happen? We often consider affliction to be a hindrance to get past, a temporary condition until we can return to experiencing a better stage of life.
