In the introduction of 1 John, 1:1-4, we learn some key themes in John's letter: Jesus' incarnation, fellowship with God the Father-Son-Holy Spirit and sharing the truth about God with others. John also connects us with his motive for sharing the letter: "to make our joy complete" (1:4). Through John's words, we will see how Jesus' incarnation (He Became Us) communicates God's heart toward us, makes fellowship with God possible, and brings us into a new way of living.
