Hindsightless

Today I have session recaps for the last Wrath of the Righteous game I ran and a Rules Cyclopedia game in which I played. I also have some calls from folks yelling at me (not really) about the original TSR D&D games obviously being part of the OSR, and a couple calls from folks that don't think so. It's a fun episode for sure!

Gaze in wonder at this cavalcade of coolness, this avalanche of awesomeness, this lineup of absolute legends that blessed me with their voices: Spencer, Taylor, Pink Phantom, Jason, Goblin's Henchman, and Menion aka Rob

The pack grows! Some of Anchor's finest called in to explain why werewolves rule, but I'm not going to tell you who they are here, you cheeky devil. You'll have to listen to find out! We also have a point/counterpoint discussion on the new Matt Colville Kickstarter. Werewolves are on the hunt in this one, folks!

Despite the title of this episode, we're talking old school games today, not OSR games. I have calls from several of the Anchor luminaries: Jason of Nerd's RPG Variety Cast, Taylor of Clerics Wear Ring Mail, and Goblin's Henchmen. Thank you guys so much for helping me wrap my brain around these topics. This one is a good one, folks!

Today, Jason, Mr. Henchman and myself are talking werewolves and werewolf movies. Jason is trying to balance the scales and he tells us why werewolves are cool!

For the first time in the history of this show, a caller thinks I had a good idea about old school RPG's and I need to talk about it! Let's also talk about our old man injuries, because through our bleeding we are one!

Big thanks to all of the awesome calls from Jason, Runeslinger, Goblin's Henchman, Spike Pit and the Pink Phantom!!!

It's my 13th episode (my three hundredth and thirteenth actually, but who's counting?) so let's get spooky! Today we're talking monsters! More specifically, we're talking vampires and werewolves. Even more specifically, Jason, Runeslinger, Spike Pit, Goblin's Henchman, and Julz tell us if they'd rather be a vampire or a werewolf.

In today's episode, Spike Pit's talking literary genres, Jason's talking werewolves, and I'm asking why thieves can't hear themselves.

I throw out a lot of... topics on this show, but not all of them get as much traction as others. That said, Karl has been calling in over the past several episodes, touching on subjects that no one else really did, which is super cool. So, here are those calls! Let's get into it!

Brian's back and badder than ever! That's right, the host of the Have to Look That Up podcast and Jason of the Nerds (we'll talk about Nerds later on) RPG Variety Cast both left me interesting messages about the Good Society RPG. Then Karl, Menion, and Jason talk nice protection, or do they? Fear not, Mr. Henchman gets us back on task and refocuses the conversation. I also talk briefly about one of my early forays into fantasy writing. Intrigued? Check it out!

This one is kind of a beast, but it's worth it, I promise. Today, I review the Jane Austin inspired RPG, Good Society, and I bring a special guest on the show to talk about Firestarter. Spoilers, both things were awesome!
