Hindsightless

Taylor shares an amazing story about getting bitten by an unusual animal, Jason has some suggestions for Karl, and I try to think of something to say about move. It's day 16 of RPG-A-Day 2021, so let's do it!

This is the first in a new series of episodes where I'll talk about the book(s) I'm currently reading. I'll sprinkle these J.R.R. Talkin episodes in amongst my regular episodes. All praise to the immortal Goblin's Henchman for this truly genius name! I had to do something with this fantastic name, then Jason called in with a question about a book I was reading. Eureka! The concept of these episodes was born!

Today we'll be talking about the 2020 Stephen King book, If It Bleeds.

Jason wants swear words, Karl pontificates on possible post-apocalyptic systems, and I discussed two of my favorite RPG supplements. It's a good time!

Given my recent diatribes on the evils of the phrase "beer and pretzels", is anyone really surprised that I went with the alternate word for today? Jason extends an olive branch, Julz drops some Maori, and Karl waxes about floods. It's RPG-A-Day #14 and it's awesome!!!

Julz and Jason have thoughts. Thoughts that they want to share with you! Then I mess everything up by talking about floods or something.

We finally finished Rise of the Runelords and I discuss the super crazy final battle. Mr. Henchman and Karl then stop by for a chat. Then our old friend Spike Pit leads us perfectly into today's topic of think. I go on a pretty savage rant about some folks that weren't thinking for themselves.

Jason’s talking beer & pretzels, two of the FUNdamental building blocks of D&D. Then I start getting all esoteric and talk about getting weird in the woods.

There was a quick turn around after the Masters of the Universe episode and Jason and Karl have some stuff to say about the Netflix cartoon. Should we trust what they have to say? See what I did there? I also talk about trust in gaming.

Let me also give a big shout out to my totally awesome sister! She absolutely rocks and is the best sister ever!

B.J. of the Arcane Alienist podcast calls in with some fantastic feedback on the Masters of the Universe episode that I did with Julz from NZ. He's got some really cool insight and corrections toon may MotU lore knowledge. I'm including the link to the Youtube channel he references because it's a really interesting channel.

For today's word, stream, the captivating Julz From NZ stops by to discuss the new Masters of the Universe show currently streaming on Netflix. What does Julz, with no prior exposure to He-Man, think about the new cartoon and is it different from me, who grew up with the original? Tune in to find out!
