Hindsightless

Today I ask you questions three. Listen well and answer me.Hear me when you’re with your dogs or driving solo in the fog. Pay attention to the road, else comes danger yet untold.

Have I already used that one? Seems I can't be bothered to check.

Today I answer some rad call in's and talk about the first session of the low magic mini campaign I'm running using a deeply altered Pathfinder 1e. It's a good time! Why is it a good time? Because awesome people took time out of their day to call into my show, so you get to listen to them as well as me! Two for one!

Good grief! When's the last time any of you have had to deal with Prismatic Spray at your table? As the unquestioned king of getting new players into the hobby, I discuss what a crazy spell PS is, and why PF1 is just as deadly as any of the vaunted OSR games I've played, read listened to, or watched.

A quick run down of the last session of RotRL and a "unique" new insight on a classic spell.

Is that a click baity title enough for y'all? I go on a little rant about this whole idea that the thing that separates humans from the other species in an RPG is their versatility. It ain't.

To misquote a classic, "If it breeds, we can't kill it."

I'm recording this the day before my birthday, which means it's already my birthday in certain parts of the world! #worldwide

A big shout out to Barry, Lieren and Jason for your super thoughtful advice on my moral quandary. Even though I don't need to, I'm going to say it anyways; go check out Shadow of the GM, Updates from the Middle of Nowhere, and Nerd's RPG Variety Cast. They're great. You're great. We're all great.

Let me also give another big, but silent, shout out the rad folks that have already called in with ideas for the random encounter and rumor tables I'm putting together. There's still time to contribute if you're feeling creative. The game starts on Feb. 20th, so as long as you get your suggestion in before then, it'll be on the table. Imagine it, an OSR grognard inspired random encounter table thrown at a bunch of new school players. It'll be a bloodbath, right?

I’m stuck in a quagmire folks; The moral kind. What’s a dungeon master to do? Help me, Anchor-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.

I mean, you’re not really my *only* hope but it sure would be awesome if you could help out. Thanks for the call, Jason. You’re awesome!

Oh yeah, I also talk about my last session of our Rise of the Runelords game.

I talk about North Watch, the starting town I'm building for the mini-campaign I'l be running next month. I love world building and if anyone wants to hear more about what's going on in North Watch, let me know.

I felt that the title of the greatest goth metal song, by the greatest goth metal band (Type O Negative) would be the perfect fit to talk about my most recent session of Rise of the Runelords. It was a silken pink bloodbath. Also, Type O rules!

As always (at least lately); here there be spoilers!

Today I talk more about Mystera and all its' beautiful weirdness and give a rundown on what happened in last night's awesome session of Rise of the Runelords.

Did my new character, Alastair Bronzebarrow, work the way I thought he would? Did the battle play out the way I hoped? What do Jason C and Rob C (no relation) have to say? Answers to these questions and so much more await you!
